Many activities such as visiting, giving gifts, and caring for the lives of policy beneficiary families, meritorious individuals, and union members and workers in difficult circumstances have been implemented. Through these efforts, the beautiful cultural traditions of the nation have been revived and spread, fostering mutual support and helping vulnerable groups have better conditions to enjoy the Spring Festival and celebrate the Lunar New Year fully.
Promoting the spirit of "mutual support and compassion"

In recent days, activities such as visiting and giving gifts to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Horse have taken place widely in localities and units. Besides support from the central government, every year, as Tet approaches, activities to visit and care for the poor, those who have contributed to the revolution, and households with particularly difficult circumstances are focused on by all levels of government and organizations in the province.
On the afternoon of February 9th, Ms. Dinh Thi Lua, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee, visited and presented gifts to poor and near-poor households in Tam Chuc and Ly Thuong Kiet wards. During the program, 144 Tet (Lunar New Year) gift packages were distributed to poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged households. These gifts included contributions from Mr. Pham Gia Tuc, Member of the Political Bureau, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, and Chief of the Central Party Office (authorized to distribute), and contributions from the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee herself. The gifts were given with the hope of helping the people celebrate Tet joyfully and warmly, and to gradually improve their lives and achieve stability.

According to Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Dinh Thi Lua, along with economic development, the province always pays special attention to social welfare and sustainable poverty reduction, considering this as the foundation for stable and long-term development. Programs to care for the poor, including the "Month of Action for the Poor" and activities to support the Lunar New Year, have been implemented practically and effectively, contributing to helping many families overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives. As of February 9, 2026, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province had received over 14,000 gifts, totaling nearly 9 billion VND, for poor and near-poor households, policy beneficiary families, households with particularly difficult circumstances, and people affected by natural disasters in 2025.
The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee affirmed that the work of visiting and giving gifts to policy beneficiaries, the elderly, the poor, and those in difficult circumstances has always been a priority for the Party, the State, and Party committees and authorities at all levels, especially during the Lunar New Year. This contributes to ensuring that everyone and every family can celebrate a joyful and warm Tet holiday, upholding the fine tradition of "mutual support and compassion" and the spirit of national solidarity.

Along with gifts from the central and provincial governments, businesses and philanthropists also show concern, encouragement, and visitation for poor and near-poor households, families receiving preferential treatment, and vulnerable groups, helping them to overcome difficulties and improve their lives.
According to statistics, every year, businesses and entrepreneurs in the province have donated tens of billions of VND to the Fund for the Poor at all levels. Units such as Vissai Ha Nam Joint Stock Company, Xuan Thanh Economic Group, the Agricultural and Rural Development Bank branch, Ninh Binh Telecommunications, Viettel Ninh Binh… are leading in this charitable activity, contributing hundreds of millions of VND each year to the provincial Fund for the Poor and organizing gift-giving to the poor and families entitled to preferential policies in the area.
According to the Vingroup Charitable Foundation, during the Lunar New Year of the Horse (2025), the Foundation had already planned to donate 5,000 gift packages, each worth 600,000 VND, to poor, near-poor, disadvantaged, and households with special circumstances affected by natural disasters in 2025. At this time, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province has developed a plan to organize the distribution of gifts from the Charitable Foundation's donations to policy beneficiary families, poor households, and elderly people without support in 30 communes and wards throughout the province, ensuring objectivity, transparency, and targeting the correct beneficiaries.
Maximize resources to care for vulnerable people.

Responding to the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor, leaving no one behind" launched by the Prime Minister and the "Day for the Poor" campaign launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, in recent years, the Fatherland Front at all levels in Ninh Binh province has played a leading role in coordinating with member organizations to strengthen propaganda and mobilization work, creating consensus among the people to jointly care for the poor and vulnerable.
According to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ninh Binh province, during the period 2020-2025, from the Fund for the Poor, Ninh Binh has distributed over 1.4 million Tet gifts, worth over 981 billion VND, to policy beneficiary families and disadvantaged households throughout the province. To help poor households enjoy a complete and meaningful Spring Festival and Tet, every year, all levels and sectors in Ninh Binh province actively promote and mobilize resources to build new houses, repair existing ones, support livelihoods; donate school supplies and learning materials to poor children; and provide medical examinations and treatment for the poor and those in difficult circumstances during the Tet season…
Representatives from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ninh Binh province stated that in recent years, Party committees, government agencies, the Fatherland Front, and political and social organizations in the province have focused on leading, directing, and effectively implementing social security and welfare policies, especially for policy beneficiary families, poor households, and people with particularly difficult circumstances. Annually, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee issues guidelines on the implementation of directives from the Central and Provincial authorities regarding caring for the poor during the Lunar New Year; guides the Fatherland Front Committees of communes and wards to organize visits and gift-giving to poor households in their areas during Tet; and proactively develops programs and plans for allocating and distributing gifts to poor households in the area.
Each gift given not only has material value but also serves as a great source of moral encouragement, instilling confidence and strength in disadvantaged families, giving them the motivation to strive for a better life.
