As the leader of the Huyen Tam Volunteer Group, Ms. Ha constantly connects, shares, and spreads love to unfortunate individuals, from remote mountainous areas to provincial hospitals, from severe natural disasters to unexpected circumstances. She and the group members approach all these situations sincerely, quietly, but effectively.
Following the motto "Sowing seeds of kindness - to the right people - in the right place - at the right time," Ms. Ha doesn't make mass appeals or "knock on every door," but quietly shares verified information on social media. Those with charitable hearts will find their way. From small, meaningful gifts to support donations of tens of millions of dong, everything is implemented transparently, stemming from a sincere heart.
A typical case is that of Ms. Hoang Quynh Anh (Quang Yen ward), whose young child suffers from a congenital disease and requires long-term treatment at the Vietnam-Sweden Uong Bi Hospital. In early 2025, upon learning about the situation, Ms. Ha appealed to the community for support via social media. Within just 24 hours, she raised over 21 million VND, which she promptly delivered to help Ms. Quynh Anh and her child continue their treatment.
Ms. Ha shared: “I never send money through intermediaries. Every case is verified directly. The amount may not be much, but the intention must be complete.” Coming from a family facing difficult circumstances, Ms. Ha always carries deep empathy within her. During the floods in Central Vietnam, her trips to the border areas of Nghe An, Dien Bien , Lai Chau, and Son La, or her support for dialysis patients at Bai Chay Hospital… all were undertaken by her in a short time, traveling long distances, carrying cash, essential supplies, and a passionate heart.
Ms. Ha said emotionally, "There are people who only contribute 10,000 - 20,000 VND, but that's all they have. There are also strangers who are still willing to send 5 - 10 million VND because they trust us." Currently, the group operates independently, without a fixed fund; each program begins with "sowing seeds of kindness" from generous hearts everywhere. Every year, Ms. Ha organizes dozens of programs, large and small, regardless of holidays, Tet (Lunar New Year), or difficult times.
Not only is she actively involved in charitable work, Ms. Ha is also a shining example in the voluntary blood donation movement. As an active member of the 24-Hour Living Blood Bank Club, she always takes the lead in blood donation drives and actively encourages friends and colleagues to participate. With the motto: "Every drop of blood given saves a life," she has contributed to spreading this humane message to the community and her family. Her husband, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tuan (53 years old), has donated blood 7 times; her son has participated once. To date, the whole family has donated blood 24 times.
In recognition of these contributions, in 2025, Ms. Tran Thi Ha was honored as one of 29 outstanding individuals awarded a Certificate of Commendation by the Provincial People's Committee for her many positive contributions to the volunteer movement. For her, volunteering is not a fleeting trend or hobby, but a journey of living a decent life, illuminated by compassion and genuine empathy. She may not have helped many people yet, but each act of kindness sows hope. That is why she never stops.
