The company continuously optimizes its mining and processing operations, aiming for efficient operation, technological innovation, and sustainable development.

Tungsten possesses extremely high heat resistance and a hardness nearly equivalent to diamond, making it crucial in many advanced technological applications. This metal is considered the "lifeblood" of the semiconductor and artificial intelligence revolution, an indispensable material for the production of microchips, high-power electronic devices, and high-performance computing systems in data centers.

Tungsten is also an irreplaceable material in the chemical, automotive, aerospace, energy, and pharmaceutical industries. MSR is currently the world's largest producer of subsurface tungsten products outside of China, and is also a leading global producer of fluorite, bismuth, and copper.

MSR possesses a closed-loop integrated model, from extraction and processing to deep processing, thereby proactively controlling input raw materials, optimizing processing efficiency, and increasing the proportion of high-value products in the entire production chain. To enhance efficiency and added value, in recent years, MSR has invested heavily in deep processing technology, research and development, and the production of high-tech products, contributing to increasing the value of the global supply chain.

Alongside its business operations, MSR has been actively promoting ESG (environmental-social-governance) practices and implementing numerous practical community support programs over the years.

In 2025, MSR contributed VND 3.8 billion to social welfare and community support activities. These programs supported over 5,200 households in the surrounding and buffer zone areas, including ethnic minority and disadvantaged households. Support activities included job creation, vocational retraining, technical training, provision of seedlings and livestock, product promotion, and connecting consumers to markets, all aimed at increasing income and creating sustainable livelihoods for the community.

For example, the company invited tea experts and agricultural extension officers to collect soil samples for analysis; organized training on tea cultivation, harvesting, and processing techniques; and supported the purchase and installation of automatic irrigation equipment to improve winter tea yields. Simultaneously, MSR also advised and collaborated in establishing numerous tea cooperatives, guiding tea production towards organic farming, and supporting the development of tea product brands to achieve OCOP 3-star and 4-star ratings, thereby increasing product value and creating stable income for local people.

According to Ms. Dao Thi Thuc, Director of Nhat Thuc Tea Cooperative, when it was first established, the cooperative faced many difficulties, especially in brand building. Thanks to the support of MSR, the cooperative received training in tea cultivation techniques, automatic irrigation equipment, packaging design, and consulting on building the Nhat Thuc tea brand. As a result, the product has become increasingly well-known to consumers, and the cooperative's revenue has increased by an average of 15-20% per year.

In the field of environmental protection, the centralized wastewater treatment plant at the Nui Phao mine applies modern technology with a maximum treatment capacity of 1,500 m³/hour, and the treated wastewater always meets discharge standards. In 2025 alone, 8.3 million m³ of wastewater (equivalent to 79.5% of total water usage) was recycled and reused by MSR, significantly contributing to reducing environmental impact. Reforestation efforts have been carried out in areas around waste dumps, factories, transportation routes, and buffer zones, gradually restoring greenery after the mining process.

Thanks to these efforts, MSR has been recognized as a "Vietnam Sustainable Enterprise" for eight consecutive years by the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD) - Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI). This demonstrates MSR's unwavering commitment to sustainable development, affirming its pledge to implement ESG and its responsibility in creating sustainable value for the community, the environment, and society.

MSR continues to be one of the largest budget contributors in Thai Nguyen province, with an average total value of over 1,000 billion VND per year; creating jobs and stable income for thousands of direct and indirect workers in the locality, thereby contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of Thai Nguyen province.
