This is one of the contents discussed by university representatives at the online consultation program "Standard scores of schools and opportunities for candidates" organized by Thanh Nien Newspaper this afternoon, August 25.
Do I need a letter of admission to enroll?
Master Nguyen Tran Ngoc Phuong, Director of Marketing and Brand Development of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, said that from early morning on August 24 and 25, many parents and candidates were present at the school to complete admission procedures.
Candidates complete admission procedures at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology on the morning of August 25.
Meanwhile, at Saigon International University, Master Tran Van Trang, Deputy Head of Admissions, shared: "Learning from previous years, many candidates came to the school to enroll and then received their admission notice a few days later. Therefore, this year, the school did not send it by post but on the night of August 22, the school sent the scanned file via email to avoid loss."
According to Master Trang, starting today, August 25, all candidates who come to school to enroll can receive their admission notice at the school.
Answering the question of whether or not admission notice is required, Master Nguyen Thi Mai Binh, Head of Training Management - Student Affairs Department of Hung Vuong University, Ho Chi Minh City, said that candidates whose names are on the admission list can rest assured that they are definitely admitted, so they can still enroll.
"Many schools send notices by post, so they may take a long time due to distance or be lost due to incorrect addresses. It's best for you to contact the school to ask, or if you don't receive it, you can ask the school to reissue it," said Master Binh.
Lost exam result certificate, what to do?
Following the program, reader Thuy Anh ( Binh Duong ) continued to wonder about whether or not one can enroll without documents.
"I was admitted to the marketing major at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology with my aptitude test score. According to the instructions, I had to submit the original copy of my exam result certificate issued by Ho Chi Minh City National University, but now I have lost it. Can I still be admitted?", Thuy Anh asked.
Experts at the consulting program
Master Nguyen Tran Ngoc Phuong said that the exam result certificate is proof that the candidate participated in the exam and participated in the admission process, and universities collect it to keep in their records.
"However, your results have been recorded by the school's admission system and the Ministry of Education and Training. If you lose this paper, you can still confirm your admission on the Ministry of Education and Training's portal and complete the admission procedures to ensure progress. The school's application reception department will provide you with more detailed instructions," Master Phuong replied.
Regarding the admission procedures, Master Mai Binh emphasized: "Immediately after confirming on the Ministry of Education and Training's system, candidates need to go to the school to complete the official admission procedures. Students should go to the school's website to see what documents are included in the admission application, which documents need originals, which documents only need notarized copies...".
According to experts, each school has a different admission timeline and different regulations on admission documents, so candidates need to read the information on the website in advance or contact the school for instructions on preparing complete documents before coming to school to enroll.
