In the latest training session of the French team in the early morning of June 21 (Vietnam time), Kylian Mbappe appeared with a new protective mask printed with the French flag.
The French superstar wore a mask throughout training after suffering a nose injury in France's Euro 2024 opener.
Mbappe was forced off early in Les Bleus' 1-0 win over Austria. The French Football Federation (FFF) later revealed that Mbappe did not need surgery and had a mask made for him to be able to play.
Coach Didier Deschamps revealed that everything is positive for Mbappe but his fitness will be assessed in more detail before kick-off.
In the interview, he also shared about Mbappe's ability to play against the Netherlands: "Mbappe's nose was badly impacted and has a rather complicated development. But I can confirm that Kylian Mbappe is feeling better and everything is progressing positively for him to be ready for tomorrow's match."
The latest images of Mbappe on the training ground with a mask have increased the possibility of him playing in the match against the Netherlands.
