Many localities and units organize Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations for children.

(CT) - In the days leading up to the Mid-Autumn Festival, departments, branches and localities in Can Tho City organize many Mid-Autumn Festival activities for children in general and children in difficult circumstances in particular.

- At Thoi Thanh Primary School, the Youth Union of Can Tho City People's Committee, the Youth Union of Can Tho City Department of Home Affairs in coordination with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the O Mon Ward Youth Union, just organized the "Full Moon Festival Night".

With the theme “Lanterns light up dreams”, “Full Moon Festival” includes many activities: lion dance, fairy tale telling and performing arts, creating a useful playground for children. On this occasion, the Organizing Committee gave 400 gifts to children in the ward, each gift includes lanterns, notebooks, and candy. The total value of the gifts is more than 100 million VND, from social mobilization sources.

- The Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thoi Lai commune also organized the program "Mid-Autumn Festival of Love" to give gifts to children in the commune. In the joyful atmosphere of the program, children were able to participate in lantern processions, watch lion dances, and art performances. The organizing committee also gave 400 gifts including cakes, candies, milk and lanterns to 400 disadvantaged children at schools and children of officials and civil servants working in Thoi Lai commune, with a total value of over 40 million VND, from socialized sources.

- The program "Full Moon Festival Night" in Thot Not ward, attracted 300 children to participate. Besides the activities in the festival (lantern procession, listening to the President 's Mid-Autumn Festival greetings), the ward People's Committee gave 300 Mid-Autumn Festival gifts to children, with a total value of 80 million VND.

- The Vinh Chau Ward Youth Union coordinated with the Ward Women's Union and the Vinh Chau Regional Medical Center Youth Union to organize a program to visit and give gifts to disadvantaged children being treated at the Center. The Youth Union gave 20 gifts, each worth 300,000 VND, to 20 disadvantaged children in the hospital, with the hope of bringing joy, encouraging their families and giving them more strength to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival. The ward's youth also organized a program to visit and give Mid-Autumn Festival gifts to 10 severely disabled children in the area.

- On the evening of October 3, the Association of People with Disabilities of Can Tho City coordinated to organize the program "Mid-Autumn Festival - Happy Reunion" for children with disabilities and people with disabilities in the city.

In a warm and bustling atmosphere, disabled children and people with disabilities reviewed the meaning of the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival; enthusiastically participated in quiz games with prizes and answered questions related to the Mid-Autumn Festival...

With the support of benefactors, the City Association of the Disabled presented 80 gifts to disabled children and children of disabled people. Each gift included: cash, lanterns, cakes..., worth 250,000 VND. On this occasion, the City Association of the Disabled presented 105 gifts (15 gifts per ward) to disabled children and children of disabled people in 7 wards: Ninh Kieu, Cai Khe, Tan An, An Binh, Binh Thuy, Long Tuyen and Thoi An Dong, with a total value of 5,250,000 VND. Thereby, helping the children enjoy a warm and meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival with their families and relatives.

- The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ninh Kieu Ward coordinated with the Ward People's Committee to organize the program "Mid-Autumn Festival for Children" in 2025.

Within the framework of the program, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ninh Kieu Ward and socio-political organizations of the ward mobilized agencies, organizations and businesses to give 100 gifts, including milk, candy, moon cakes, lanterns, backpacks... with a total value of 39 million VND. Thereby, contributing to helping children from poor households and those in difficult circumstances enjoy a Mid-Autumn Festival full of love.
