A woman has accused Irish MMA fighter Conor McGregor of sexually assaulting her in the men's restroom at an NBA finals game last week.
The woman said she met McGregor at the Denver Nuggets-Miami Heat game at the Kaseya Center, a multi-purpose arena located along Biscayne Bay in Miami, Florida. As she was leaving the arena, McGregor's bodyguard told her the Irishman wanted to see her in the bathroom.
There, she accused McGregor of forcibly kissing her and forcing her to perform oral sex. The woman said McGregor then spat on her and the boxer himself.
Sharing with British newspaper Sportmail , the woman's lawyer said she went to the police on June 11 to report the incident, but was refused and advised to hire legal aid.

On 14 June, the woman returned to the police station with her lawyer to file a report and hand over the clothes she was wearing on the day she was allegedly sexually assaulted by McGregor. The lawyer said the clothes contained biological traces of the Irishman. Sportsmail has obtained a photograph of the packed clothes.
McGregor's side immediately denied the allegations. "These allegations are false. McGregor will not be intimidated," the 34-year-old boxer's lawyer announced. Miami police later said they were investigating.
The woman’s legal team also sent a letter to McGregor’s attorneys, the Miami Heat, and the Kaseya Center. In the letter, she accused the Irish fighter of being aided and abetted by the NBA and Miami Heat’s Kaseya security force. She was separated from her group of friends by security and locked in a bathroom with McGregor and his bodyguards.
"After being isolated and trapped in a restroom at the Kaseya Center, security refused to let her out or allow anyone else, including her friends, into the room," the letter said. "McGregor then emerged from inside the disabled room and began sexually assaulting her."

The woman said she tried to run away, but McGregor "aggressively grabbed her, pinned her against the wall and attempted to rape her." She then repeatedly elbowed McGregor and escaped.
The Miami Heat said they were aware of the allegations and were investigating. They would not comment further until the investigation was complete. The UFC said it would allow the parties to pursue legal action before commenting further.
The allegations come less than 24 hours after McGregor and his fiancee Dee Devlin announced they were expecting their fourth child. The couple already have three children, Conor Jr., Croia Mairhead and Rian - aged six, four and two respectively.
McGregor, born in 1988, was a UFC lightweight and featherweight champion. The Irishman has not competed since he twisted his ankle and lost to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021.
