Instant noodles and fish sauce help Masan 'pocket' more than 20,000 billion VND

Of Masan's total revenue of more than VND83,000 billion in 2024, more than VND20,000 billion will come from selling instant noodles, fish sauce, and soy sauce.

At the 2025 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) of Masan Group Corporation, the group's leadership representative reported notable figures to shareholders.

Mr. Truong Cong Thang, General Director of Masan Consumer Joint Stock Company (Masan Consumer), said that in 2024, 5 strong brands such as Chin-Su, Nam Ngu, Omachi, Kokomi, Wake-up 247 contributed 72% of revenue to Masan Consumer.

Specifically, Chin-Su contributed VND4,389 billion in revenue, equivalent to 14%; Nam Ngu contributed VND6,333 billion, equivalent to 20%; Omachi contributed VND4,273 billion, equivalent to 14%; Kokomi contributed VND4,576 billion, equivalent to 15% and Wake-up 247 contributed VND3,162 billion, equivalent to 10%.

Thus, strong brands contributed nearly VND23,200 billion in revenue to Masan. Of which, instant noodle, fish sauce, and soy sauce brands brought in more than VND20,000 billion to Masan.

According to Mr. Thang, in 2024, new products brought Masan about 90 million USD (about more than 2,250 billion VND). In particular, the group focused on developing instant noodles, spices, beverages and convenience foods.

According to Mr. Thang, in 2024, Masan's consumer products will appear in 26 countries around the world with 2.4 billion convenient products distributed, serving up to 72 billion meals.

In 2025, Masan Consumer aims to maintain double-digit revenue growth of 10-15%, raising total revenue to VND33,500 billion - VND35,500 billion. Profit after tax is from VND7,300 - VND7,800 billion.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong, General Director of WinCommerce, shared that in 2024, WinCommerce surpassed the revenue milestone of more than 30,000 billion VND. This is a number that few retailers can achieve. In 2025, WinCommerce's goal is to reach 4,500 points of sale by the end of the year. Of which, 1,900 stores will open in rural areas.

According to Ms. Phuong, rural areas will be where the group wants to focus on development as 65% of the population is present here. Rural stores are not only points of sale, but also places to connect the community and spread modern lifestyles.

Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Masan Group, said that over the past decade, Masan Consumer has been the fastest growing consumer goods company in terms of revenue and profit in the Asia- Pacific region. WinCommerce, which was losing more than 200 million USD/year, has now achieved a positive after-tax profit.

In addition, Masan MEATLife recorded its first operating profit since divesting from the animal feed sector.

According to Mr. Quang, Masan Group's consolidated profit after tax after minority interests in 2024 will reach nearly VND2,000 billion, an increase of 377.5% over the previous year.

According to Mr. Quang, the vision and mission of this group is to own 10,000 modern points of sale to serve more than 100 million Vietnamese consumers. Repositioning the FMCG market (fast moving consumer goods) of Vietnam and reaching out globally, serving 8 billion consumers in the world.

“We want to reduce daily consumption costs for people by 10% while maintaining profit efficiency. Cut at least 50% of mass, ineffective promotional programs - aiming for real value and sustainable growth,” said Mr. Quang.
