Contributing greatly to this achievement are Mitsubishi's two flagship models: Xpander and Xforce. The B-size CUV Xforce quickly dominated the market after its launch, with 2,504 units sold in August alone, accounting for 51% of the segment's market share. This is a record number since Mitsubishi began delivering the Xforce in March 2024, helping this model far surpass its competitor Toyota Yaris Cross (927 units).

After 6 years in Vietnam, Xpander is considered Mitsubishi's most successful model with total sales reaching 100,000 units.

As of the end of August, the cumulative sales of Xforce in 2024 reached 8,182 units, helping this model to be in the top best-selling vehicles in the segment, only behind Ford Ranger and Mitsubishi Xpander. With this impressive growth momentum, Xforce is likely to become the "king" in the B-class CUV segment this year.

Meanwhile, Mitsubishi Xpander, an MPV model that has been present in Vietnam since 2018, continues to maintain its performance despite not being as "hot" as before. In August, Xpander sold 1,003 units, ranking 6th in the list of best-selling cars of the month.

Mitsubishi Xforce is likely to take the B-size CUV crown this year.

Xpander's cumulative sales in the first 8 months of the year reached 10,268 units, down 16.3% over the same period in 2023, but still maintained its second position in terms of sales in the entire market.

2024 not only marks a booming business year for Mitsubishi in Vietnam, but also marks many other important milestones. This year, in addition to the launch of the Xforce, the company also introduced the new version of the Triton pickup truck, while the Xpander reached the sales milestone of 100,000 units after 6 years of launch.

With a market share of 18.1%, Mitsubishi has risen to second place in the entire market, just behind Hyundai. Mitsubishi's total cumulative retail sales in Vietnam as of August 2024 reached 254,968 units, while its cumulative assembly output was 74,128 units.
