New Xpander and Xpander Cross officially launched in the Vietnamese market

Today (September 22), Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam officially launched the new Xpander and Xpander Cross: "Exceeding expectations - steady journey". The new Xpander is listed at 659 million VND and Xpander Cross at 699 million VND (excluding VAT).

The new versions have a more modern appearance with a completely new grille design, front bumper, rear bumper and 17-inch wheels; classy, ​​spacious interior with an 8-inch driver screen, a 10-inch entertainment screen with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, a new 3-spoke steering wheel, 6 airbags and active cornering control (AYC).

While the new Xpander with crossover style has a dynamic and sophisticated exterior, the Xpander Cross shows the image of a strong and sturdy SUV.

The duo's upgrades focus on the new grille and front and rear bumpers with seamless sports cladding around the car, new sharp LED daytime running lights, combined with the signature Full LED T-Shape lighting system. The 17-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels have a completely new design, suitable for the design style of each version.

The interior of the new versions offers a superior comfort experience. The 10-inch central entertainment screen and 8-inch digital screen for the driver, along with the newly designed 3-spoke steering wheel, make control more intuitive and easier. While the Xpander has an elegant black interior, the Xpander Cross has a high-class red-black two-tone interior.

The new versions are equipped with additional side airbags and curtain airbags, bringing the total number of airbags to 6, helping to protect and minimize injuries to passengers in the event of a collision. The Active Cornering Control (AYC) system is equipped on the Xpander along with familiar safety features such as: Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Stability Control (ASC), enhancing stable operation, especially when moving on slippery roads or turning sharply.

In addition, the car possesses values ​​that have been trusted by customers such as smooth operation, durability and fuel economy. Xpander can easily overcome many types of terrain thanks to the sturdy RISE chassis, stable suspension system, good visibility with the highest ground clearance of 225mm in the segment.

Along with that, the new Xpander duo both meet Euro 5 standards and are compatible with E10 biofuel, ensuring sustainable adaptability and environmental friendliness.

Exterior: Strong and sophisticated

The exterior upgrades of the new Xpander and Xpander Cross both showcase Mitsubishi Motors' signature Dynamic Shield design language and are refined on each model to create a unique personality, suitable for the diverse needs of customers.

Mitsubishi Xpander is positioned with the style of "Dynamic & Sophisticated". At the front of the car, the Full LED T-Shape front lighting system combines with daytime running lights with sharp, refined lenses, connected to the matte chrome details on the radiator grille, creating a majestic and modern look.


The sporty highlight on the lower body comes from the newly designed bumper, running seamlessly from front to back with the side skirts, creating a dynamic and attractive appearance on all roads. The LED fog lights with clearer brightness, impress when combined with the daytime running lights.

The 17-inch two-tone alloy wheels have a completely new design, multi-spoke structure with sharp long spokes, in harmony with the overall appearance of the car. The highlight at the rear of the car is the characteristic T-Shape taillight cluster synchronized with the front daytime light design, easily recognizable from every angle.

The rear bumper area is refined with embossed lines that seamlessly connect from front to back. Two reflectors are arranged horizontally, placed under the embossed strip, creating a visual highlight and reinforcing the imposing image.

Meanwhile, Mitsubishi Xpander Cross has a strong "Dignified & Powerful" style. In addition to the sharp daytime running lights, the trapezoidal grille with a characteristic mesh structure and clearly depicted meshes with bold borders, creates a strong and sturdy appearance. The SUV style is clearly shown in the front bumper area with a wide design, integrating large, vertically placed protective panels.

The Xpander Cross's 17-inch alloy wheels feature a completely new two-tone design, combined with thin spokes that extend close to the tire edge, making the wheels look larger and more sturdy. The rear of the car maintains a dynamic appearance with the characteristic T-shape taillights and sharp embossed lines extending from the body, bringing a strong identity from every angle.

Interior: Sophisticated, comfortable and modern

The interior of the new versions has been significantly upgraded to provide a more comfortable and premium driving experience, with spacious and flexible 7-seat space.

In the driver's area, the new 3-spoke steering wheel is equipped with shock-absorbing rubber, helping to reduce vibration when moving on rough roads, with easy and firm control. The new 8-inch digital clock has simple and flexible adjustment operations.

The driver can choose between “Classic” mode that simulates a traditional analog clock, or “Enhance” mode with intuitive information. The sharp 10-inch entertainment screen with wireless Apple Carplay/Android Auto connectivity provides a rich entertainment space for passengers.

The central area with Horizontal Axis design creates open space and maximum comfortable visibility for the driver and passengers in all three rows of seats.

High-end equipment such as the electronic handbrake (EPB) and automatic brake hold (Auto Hold) are convenient, neat and increase the safe driving experience. Other convenient equipment such as wireless charging, digital air conditioning and smart storage compartments also contribute to optimizing user comfort.

The Xpander and Xpander Cross duo are both equipped with high-quality, easy-to-clean leather seats. The highlight of the Xpander Cross is the two-tone red-black leather seats, integrated with heat-reducing technology, while the Xpander has a classic, sophisticated black tone.

Stable and safe operation

The Xpander and Xpander Cross duo are equipped with a 1.5L MIVEC engine, 4-speed AT transmission, 104 horsepower capacity, maximum torque of 141 Nm. This engine has the ability to operate durably, flexibly and stably on many roads, while still ensuring optimal fuel economy.

With segment-leading ground clearance of 225mm and large approach and departure angles, Xpander and Xpander Cross can easily move over obstacles or rough terrain. In addition, the high-visibility seating position helps the driver have a wide view, easily detecting traffic situations and obstacles early.

The new versions are fully equipped with practical safety features, including the addition of side airbags in the front seats and curtain airbags, bringing the total number of airbags to 6, providing comprehensive protection for passengers in the car in the event of a collision.

The Active Yaw Control system – AYC (Active Yaw Control) is equipped on both Xpander and Xpander Cross, helping to increase safety and stability when moving on slippery roads or turning sharply. This system actively applies appropriate braking force to the front wheels, supporting the vehicle to move in accordance with the driver's wishes, providing a safe driving experience, especially useful in rainy weather conditions.

Other fully equipped safety features, including Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Emergency Brake Assist (BA), Electronic Stability Control (ASC), Traction Control System (TCL), and Hill Start Assist (HSA) ensure peace of mind and a reliable experience on every journey.

Last August, Mitsubishi Xpander marked the milestone of 120,000 vehicles sold, celebrating 8 years of accompanying Vietnamese customers, affirming its position as the best-selling MPV model in the market and segment.
