This is an event within the framework of the OCOP Export Products Fair (Vietnam OCOPEX 2025), taking place from August 1 to 3.

The conference aims to support businesses, cooperatives, and OCOP entities in applying digital technology to widely promote products, increase sales, expand distribution channels, enhance product value, develop the domestic market, and target international markets.

At the conference, Mr. Vu Ba Phu, Director of the Trade Promotion Department ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ) said that in recent times, the Trade Promotion Department has continuously expanded digital trade promotion activities, updated appropriate methods, and flexibly adapted to rapid changes in the market. The programs are designed to be practical, aiming for long-term effectiveness, suitable for each business scale and specific products.

The Department also coordinates with many domestic and international partners to spread promotional activities more effectively and substantially, especially in the context of global trade that increasingly places high demands on digitalization, traceability and transparency of product data.

As of July 2025, the country had 17,068 OCOP products with 3 stars or more, from 9,195 entities. Of which, 126 products were recognized as 5-star OCOP products at the national level. Many OCOP products have met quality and food safety standards and regulations; have diverse designs and packaging, are environmentally friendly, and meet market requirements.

However, the development of OCOP products still has many limitations. OCOP enterprises are mainly small and medium-sized, the ability to apply information technology is not popular, and there is a lack of qualified human resources to trade on e-commerce platforms...

Businesses are also equipped with more knowledge on branding, promotion, introduction and market expansion through connection with modern distribution channels...
