MobiFone has a new General Director.

(Dan Tri Newspaper) - Mr. Tran Duc Thanh, born in 1989, has been appointed as Acting General Director of MobiFone from January 1st.

MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation has just announced information regarding its state-owned enterprise managers. Accordingly, Colonel To Manh Cuong, General Director of MobiFone, and Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dinh Tuan, Deputy General Director, will retire from their positions and receive retirement benefits, effective January 1st (according to a decision by the Minister of Public Security).

Deputy General Director Tran Duc Thanh (born in 1989, from Ha Tinh province ) has been appointed as Acting General Director of MobiFone from January 1st until a new General Director is appointed (a term not exceeding 12 months).

The ceremony for Mr. Thanh's appointment took place on December 31, 2025. Prior to that, Mr. Thanh served as Deputy General Director of MobiFone from August 2025, and also as Chairman of the Board of Directors of MobiFone Digital Solutions Company.

According to MobiFone, he is a well-trained officer with many years of experience in technology and digital transformation. He has worked alongside MobiFone on numerous national digital transformation projects and has earned the trust and high regard of the Ministry of Public Security 's leadership.

Major General Truong Son Lam, Chairman of MobiFone, stated that the consolidation of key leadership positions within the company is of particular importance, especially as MobiFone is entering a period of significant transformation, preparing for major goals in the coming years.

According to the Chairman of MobiFone, this is an essential requirement to ensure organizational stability, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of management, and create a solid foundation for the Corporation to continue restructuring, innovating its growth model, and successfully fulfilling the political tasks assigned by the Party, the State, and the Ministry of Public Security.
