This year, the organizing committee chose the stage on the banks of the Perfume River, in front of the Hue National School Monument, as the venue. This is also the first time this space has been included in the Hue International Music Week, aiming to create a new, creative, and humane meeting point for contemporary art.
According to the organizers, with its open design, the program is community-oriented and offers free services to locals and tourists. The event is expected to become a highlight of the summer festival, bringing together many high-class artists and art troupes.
This year's music week features eight leading traditional and contemporary art troupes from France, Spain, Australia, Japan, South Korea, and Vietnam.
Mono performed for the audience in the ancient capital without receiving any fee.
Beyond music, the audience also enjoyed the fusion of dance, flamenco, choreography, and fashion through performances by numerous domestic and international artists and art troupes such as: Hervé Koubi Dance Troupe (France), OJOS Music Group (France), LAS MIGAS Flamenco Group (Spain), singers My Anh (Vietnam) & Matthew Ifield (Australia), J-POP artist Kawanishi Natsuki (Japan), K-Culture Friends in Chungnam (Korea)... along with singers Mono and Nguyen Dinh Tuan Dung.
In particular, the Trinh Cong Son music night (on June 14th) will bring together many famous faces such as Vo Ha Tram, Quoc Thien, Bui Lan Huong, and artists from the Hue Royal Court Traditional Arts Theatre.
