On May 15, Hanoi National University held a conference on science , technology (S&T), and innovation in 2025. At the conference, representatives of the Department of Science, Technology, and Innovation shared some of the results that Hanoi National University achieved in 2024, including initial results of commercialization of S&T products.
Thanks to orders from businesses, Hanoi National University has revenue from commercializing science and technology products.

Professor Tran Thi Thanh Tu, Head of the Department of Science, Technology and Innovation, Hanoi National University, said that thanks to promoting the implementation of the 3-party cooperation model (school, enterprise, state), in 2024, 200 science and technology products of Hanoi National University were proposed for commercialization transfer, 50 research and development (R&D) projects in cooperation with large enterprises and foreign partners.
The total value of non-state investment from enterprises and other organizations in projects of Hanoi National University is more than 153,207 billion VND. In particular, revenue from consulting contracts, services, transfer, and commercialization of science and technology products of Hanoi National University is 130,107 billion VND.
Recently, Hanoi National University has established the High Technology and Innovation Park (VNU-TIP). This will be a center to incubate excellent scientists, research groups that meet international standards, promote cooperation with domestic and foreign partners, attract investment in R&D activities, transfer and commercialize intellectual property, and develop Spin-off/start-up businesses.
With VNU-TIP, Hanoi National University hopes that the commercialization of science and technology products in 2025 will continue to develop strongly, while creating conditions for Hanoi National University scientists to participate in solving major problems of businesses and the country.
At the conference today, May 15, Hanoi National University announced agreements and cooperation contracts to implement science and technology tasks and innovation with a number of partner businesses.
According to Professor Le Quan, Director of Hanoi National University, the agreements and cooperation contracts awarded are not only proof of the effective connection between schools, scientists and businesses, but also open up opportunities to implement scientific and technological tasks associated with practice, practically serving the development of businesses and the country's economy .
These agreements contribute to promoting flexible and practical cooperation mechanisms, thereby creating favorable conditions for commercializing science and technology products, and effectively forming and operating science and technology enterprise models (Spin-off) within universities.
