The Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association (HHDL) has just submitted a petition to the Khanh Hoa Provincial Police, Ho Chi Minh City Police, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism... to investigate and handle VIETSKY Service and Trading Company Limited (abbreviated as VS Company, headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City) for signs of fraud and appropriation of assets of tourism businesses in Nha Trang.
Using the trick of "transferred money"
According to the reflection of HHDL Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa , Ms. NLUP - Director of VS Company and Mr. LTT - employee of this company contacted December Hotel to book accommodation services for a group of 91 guests (47 rooms) from July 11 to 13. During the working process, Mr. LTT represented the company to make transactions and transferred a deposit of 10 million VND to the hotel. On July 13, when the VS Company's group was about to leave, December Hotel staff asked Mr. T. to pay the remaining amount of 76.7 million VND. After that, Mr. T. sent via Zalo a screenshot of the payment transfer of the above amount, so the hotel agreed to let the group leave. After discovering that they did not receive the money, December Hotel staff contacted Mr. T. many times to request payment of 76.7 million VND. However, Mr. T. had an uncooperative attitude, denied sending fake transaction images, continued to delay payment, and blocked communication.

In addition, VS Company also booked 51 rooms for guests staying at The Art Nest Nha Trang Hotel from July 19 to 21 and a Gala dinner. On July 21, when the group of guests from this company was about to leave, The Art Nest Nha Trang Hotel asked VS Company to pay the remaining amount of nearly 78.6 million VND. After that, Ms. NLUP sent a photo of the payment authorization for this amount via Zalo to the hotel staff. Believing that the partner had transferred the money, The Art Nest Nha Trang Hotel let the group of guests leave. However, after checking, the hotel's accounting department discovered that they had not received the above amount. After that, The Art Nest Nha Trang Hotel contacted Ms. NLUP many times to request the payment of the above amount. However, Ms. P. still refused to transfer the money.
Accused of defrauding international tour organizers to appropriate deposits
Also related to VS Company, Four Seasons Nha Trang Restaurant reported to HHDL Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa that this company deliberately delayed paying for services to the restaurant. Accordingly, the company booked a party for a group of guests on July 11 with a total cost of nearly 128 million VND (already paid in advance nearly 62 million VND), the remaining amount was nearly 66 million VND. According to the contract, this company had to pay on July 14, but has not yet done so. When the staff of Four Seasons Restaurant requested payment, Mr. LTT found reasons to delay.

On August 1, Mr. Nguyen Quang Thang - representative of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Company said that through working with the Inspector of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, he learned that VS Company had been accused of defrauding international tour operators to appropriate deposits. Specifically, in July 2023, International Consulting Law Company Limited (headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City) booked VS Company to organize a tour to Bali (Indonesia), departing on August 9, 2023, with a sum of nearly 500 million VND, with an advance payment of nearly 350 million VND. However, before the departure date, International Consulting Law Company Limited suddenly received a notice from VS Company that the trip could not be carried out due to "booking the wrong flight ticket on the wrong day", but when asked to provide the ticket code, VS Company did not cooperate. When International Consulting Law Company Limited asked the authorities to verify, they found out that VS Company did not book a room in Bali. Inspector of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism. Ho Chi Minh City also determined that VS Company does not have an international travel business license. Up to now, International Consulting Law Company Limited has not received the deposit back from VS Company. Thu Duc City Police (Ho Chi Minh City) is investigating and handling this case.
After the incident where VS Company was accused of fraud and delay in paying debts, many other businesses also reported to the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association that Mr. LTT still owed money from previous years and had blocked phone contact, including hotel E., which owed more than 25 million VND since 2021. Regarding this incident, Mr. Pham Minh Nhut - Permanent Vice President of the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association said: "The tricks and actions of VS Company are systematic, occurring many times with many different businesses and individuals. They have committed fraudulent acts, taking advantage of trust to appropriate large sums of money from businesses. To protect the rights and legitimate interests of members, the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association hopes that the authorities will investigate, handle and take preventive measures against these subjects, not to cause other incidents, affecting the tourism environment and social order".
After HHDL Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa sent a document to the authorities, The Art Nest Nha Trang Hotel and December Hotel sent a complaint to Ho Chi Minh City Police, VS Company transferred the full amount to The Art Nest Nha Trang Hotel (paid on July 31) and December Hotel (paid on August 2).
