QTO - Along with 67 other "iron flowers" of the People's Public Security Force, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thi Thu Thao, Deputy Head of the Vinh Hoang Commune Police, was recently honored by the Ministry of Public Security as an "Outstanding Female Grassroots Police Officer" in 2025. This is not only an honor but also a well-deserved recognition for the contributions and efforts of a female police officer who is always dedicated, close to the people, and serving the people.

We met Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thi Thu Thao right after she attended the awards ceremony for "Outstanding Female Police Officers" and the commendation of "Excellent Female Grassroots Police Officers" in 2025, organized by the Ministry of Public Security in Hanoi. Lieutenant Colonel Thao shared that these awards and titles are a recognition of individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the cause of protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety, and building a clean, strong, professional, elite, and modern People's Police force. They also promote the image of female police officers who are courageous, intelligent, humane, responsible, and dedicated to serving the people.

“The title of ‘Outstanding Female Grassroots Police Officer’ is a great honor for me personally and for the Vinh Hoang Commune Police team. This is not only a recognition but also a motivation for me to strive and grow further in my work, contributing to spreading exemplary behavior to other female officers in the force,” said Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thi Thu Thao.

Lieutenant Colonel Thao is one of the exemplary representatives of dedicated and courageous female police officers on the front lines of maintaining security and order at the grassroots level. Before joining the Vinh Hoang Commune Police, she held many positions from the district level to the grassroots. Regardless of the circumstances, this female lieutenant colonel quickly adapted to the demands of her duties, proactively grasping the situation to ensure uninterrupted work, especially during the organizational restructuring phase.

Not only does she diligently handle daily administrative tasks, but she also participates in the fight against crime, handles complex cases, and performs well in community outreach in the area. Thanks to her sense of responsibility in her work and her approachable and friendly attitude when interacting with the people, she has gained much goodwill from everyone. In particular, since July 1, 2025, in her role as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Head of the Vinh Hoang Commune Police, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thi Thu Thao, together with the Command Board, has proactively advised the Commune Police Party Committee and local authorities to thoroughly implement the motto "putting the people first, and using prevention as the foundation."

Through this, the movement "All citizens protect national security" is promoted, effective crime prevention and control models are replicated, linked to the national target program for building new rural areas, and propaganda work on the internet is optimized through the commune police's Facebook page, attracting tens of thousands of likes and followers and gaining the support of the people.

Nearly a year after implementing the two-tiered local government model, Ms. Thao has contributed to the development of two new models and maintained the effectiveness of five crime prevention models in the area, including the "Safe Keychain" model, which was commended by the Ministry of Public Security.

"Regardless of my position, I always strive to conduct self-study, learn from experience, strictly adhere to work procedures, and always follow and implement the unit's work program and plan correctly. I also constantly strive to improve my professional skills, work capacity, and maintain the moral qualities of a People's Police officer," Lieutenant Colonel Thao confided.

With her proactive approach to performing her duties and her close monitoring of the area, she has contributed to maintaining security and order in Vinh Hoang commune; effectively carrying out inspection, supervision, and administrative reform. She has achieved 100% of the targets set in all the areas she was assigned to, contributing to the unit's achievement of the "For National Security" Emulation Flag awarded by the Ministry of Public Security.
