MU will continue to play at Old Trafford while building a new stadium.

Earlier this month, Manchester United announced plans to build a state-of-the-art 100,000-capacity stadium on the site of Old Trafford, the club's 115-year history. The project will not only be a new landmark, but will also realise Sir Jim Ratcliffe's dream of a "Wembley of the North".

Despite the intention to redevelop the old stadium, after careful consideration, the club's board decided to build a completely new stadium rather than expand Old Trafford. One of the key factors in deciding this change was the technical issues and costs arising from the stadium's location close to a railway line operating behind the South Stand.

While the new stadium will bring a modern and classy look, parting with a building as rich in tradition as Old Trafford will not be easy. After reconstructions in the 1990s and 2000s, the home of the "Red Devils" lost much of its original appearance. However, historical memorabilia, such as the Munich clock and monuments, are always present at the stadium, leaving an indelible mark.

Patrick Campbell stressed: "We have great respect and appreciation for the history of Old Trafford. The presence of relics such as the Munich clock and statues is integral to the design of the new stadium. We will work with fans to find the best way to continue to honor that history and retain sacred memories."

The new stadium promises to be not only a world-class sporting facility, but also a cultural icon, connecting Manchester United's glorious past with its thriving future.
