"Red Rain" is a major film produced by the People's Army Cinema, with a script by writer Chu Lai. The film is inspired and fictionalized by the event of 81 days and nights of steadfast fighting by our army and people to defend Quang Tri Citadel in 1972 - a battle that has become a symbol of the aspiration for independence, freedom and national unification. That feat was not only recorded in history books but was also one of the important factors leading to the success of the Paris Conference and the great victory of Spring 1975.

To recreate the atmosphere of the fiery summer of 1972, the film crew rebuilt a simulated version of Quang Tri Citadel near the Thach Han River - the place that witnessed the heroic sacrifice of thousands of soldiers. Each bomb crater, trench, surgical station, field airport... were meticulously restored under the guidance of veterans and historical witnesses. That setting not only made the film more realistic, but also served as a touching reminder of the losses and sacrifices for national independence.

After the official premiere and screening, “Red Rain” received many compliments from the audience and experts. Some viewers left comments after watching the film: "The acting of the young cast is very natural, especially the scenes showing team spirit. The film made me cry many times. The more I watch, the more grateful I feel, the more responsible I feel for life today"; "Red Rain is not only a war film but also a lesson about courage and sacrifice. You should really watch and reflect"; "After watching the film, my heart still aches. The film is both tragic and touching, making me not only shed tears but also admire the sacrifice of the previous generation"...

Veterans who directly participated in the Quang Tri battle were also moved when watching the film "Red Rain". Colonel Nguyen Van Hoi - head of the liaison committee of Battalion K3 Tam Dao, one of those who returned from the battlefield that year, shared: "The film has brought back to me the 81 days and nights of fighting to protect the Quang Tri Citadel. My comrades lying in the Citadel are probably smiling with satisfaction. I never thought that after 50 years, I would be able to watch a film about that war."

Meritorious Artist Dang Thai Huyen - director of the film "Red Rain" expressed his gratitude for the audience's reception. "We consider this not only a film but also a stick of incense to pay tribute to the heroes and martyrs who died for the Fatherland. The crew tried 200% of their strength so there is nothing to regret," said director Dang Thai Huyen.

"Red Rain" recounts the fierce days of war that could not extinguish the desire for peace, national reunification, love for homeland, love for comrades and family deeply in the hearts of young soldiers, and will surely resonate forever with today's and future generations. The film features many young actors such as Do Nhat Hoang, Nguyen Phuong Nam, Nguyen Dinh Khang, Ha Anh, Steven Nguyen, Le Hoang Long... along with experienced faces such as People's Artist Tran Luc, Dinh Thuy Ha, Than Thuy Ha, Hua Vi Van, Lam Vissay...
