According to the draft, employees participating in voluntary occupational accident insurance register with the social insurance agency according to one of the following payment methods: 1- Monthly payment; 2- Payment every 3 months; 3- Payment every 6 months; 4- Payment every 12 months.

People participating in voluntary occupational accident insurance can change their payment method. The change of payment method is made after registering to change the previously selected payment method. The time to pay occupational accident insurance for voluntary occupational accident insurance payment methods is implemented as follows:

The monthly contribution is equal to 2% of the minimum wage in region IV as prescribed by the Government .

The payment level for 3 months, 6 months or 12 months at a time is determined by multiplying the monthly payment level as prescribed above by 3 for the 3-month payment method; by 6 for the 6-month payment method; by 12 for the 12-month payment method.

In case an employee participating in voluntary occupational accident insurance has paid every 3 months, 6 months or 12 months, and during that time the Government announces a new minimum wage for region IV, the additional payment or refund of the amount paid will be carried out as follows:

In case the newly announced minimum wage of region IV is higher than the old contribution level, employees do not have to pay the difference in the amount already paid.

In case the new minimum wage of region IV is lower than the amount paid, the difference will be calculated to reduce the next payment period or refunded at the end of the period if the employee does not continue to participate in occupational accident insurance or stops participating according to the prescribed cases.

Time to pay occupational accident insurance

Support for occupational accident insurance premiums for employees participating in voluntary occupational accident insurance

First time, immediately upon registration for voluntary occupational accident insurance.

Next time, within 10 days before the first day of the next closing period.

Immediately upon re-registration for voluntary occupational accident insurance.

According to the draft, employees participating in voluntary occupational accident insurance will receive State support for payment at a percentage (%) of the monthly occupational accident insurance payment, specifically as follows:

Equal to 30% for voluntary occupational accident insurance participants from poor households according to the poverty line of rural areas.

Equal to 25% for voluntary occupational accident insurance participants belonging to near-poor households according to the poverty line of rural areas; multidimensional poor households lacking health insurance criteria.

10% for other workers.

The budget to support social insurance premiums for employees participating in voluntary occupational accident insurance is guaranteed by the local budget according to the current State budget decentralization; the central budget supports localities with difficult budgets.
