An unprecedented bonus in Premier League history.

Arsenal ended a Premier League title drought of over 20 years and set a record for financial success in English football history.

Arsenal are the highest-earning club in the Premier League.

The 2025/26 season saw Arsenal rake in nearly £200 million in prize money and television rights, the highest revenue ever recorded in the Premier League.

According to The Athletic , Arsenal will receive approximately £198.7 million after winning the league this season. This figure far exceeds Liverpool's £174.9 million earnings from last season and significantly surpasses the £176.2 million record set by Manchester City in the 2022/23 season.

The surge in revenue stems from a major change in the Premier League's prize money structure. Each ranking position this season is worth approximately £3.76 million, a significant increase from £2.65 million last season. Finishing in first place alone earned Arsenal a staggering £75.2 million in ranking prize money, 42% more than what Liverpool received upon winning the title.

Not only will Arsenal benefit, but the 2025/26 season will also mark the first time the total revenue of the Premier League allocated to its 20 teams exceeds £3 billion. Previously, the league had only fluctuated around £2.8 billion for three consecutive seasons.

MU also pocketed over £190 million as total revenue allocated to the Premier League exceeded £3 billion.

The financial race therefore became fierce right up to the final round. Just a few places in the standings could create a difference of tens of millions of pounds. Sunderland is a prime example, as their victory against Chelsea helped them climb to 7th place and receive over 11 million pounds more than if they had finished 10th.

Manchester United also came in as big winners financially. Michael Carrick's team earned around £191.5 million thanks to finishing third and extensive television appearances. The broadcasting rights for the 34 live matches alone brought MU nearly £24 million.

Meanwhile, revenue from international broadcasting rights continues to be a goldmine for the Premier League, contributing approximately half of the league's total revenue. This is a factor that helps England's top league continue to distance itself from the rest of Europe in terms of financial strength.

However, this boom also led to a widening gap between the Premier League and the lower leagues. Just over £360 million was allocated to the EFL system, with the majority going to relegated teams. This fueled the ongoing debate over revenue sharing in English football following Arsenal's historic season.
