Xuan Son, Hendrio and defender Jason Quang Vinh Pendant are two names that fans expect to follow in their footsteps, becoming naturalized players and contributing to the national team. However, to be eligible for citizenship, Hendrio needs to complete the 5-year continuous residence requirement in Vietnam. Currently, he only has one more year to meet this requirement.
Despite this, Hendrio has shown a strong desire to contribute to Vietnamese football. On his personal page and in interviews, he often shares his love for the country and its culture. In a video filmed with freestyle athlete Do Kim Phuc, Hendrio said he has memorized the Vietnamese national anthem and plans to take the Vietnamese name "Hen," which has a lucky meaning similar to the name "Son" of his close friend Xuan Son. Hendrio wants his name, if he successfully naturalizes, to be Nguyen Xuan Hen.
Not only showing his football ability, Hendrio also conquered fans with his friendliness, sociability and learning spirit. This Lunar New Year, not only showing his love for football, Hendrio also immersed himself in the traditional Tet atmosphere of the Vietnamese people, making him even more loved.
