TPO - At this time, along the border at the headwaters of Tien and Hau rivers through An Giang , it is the flood season, with water levels higher than previous years. Water is overflowing the fields, and water is everywhere. This is also the time when people are busy making a living from fish, shrimp, and "heaven-sent" vegetables. However, aquatic resources are decreasing and are no longer as abundant as before.

Mr. Le Van Chon (in Vinh Te ward, Chau Doc city, An Giang) went to the field to check his 200m long fishing net. He said: "A few years ago, every day I put the net, I caught nearly a hundred kilos of fish of all kinds, but this year's flood season has much less fish, only a dozen kilos per day. At this time, there is a lot of water but few fish, hopefully in a few days when the water recedes, there will be more." Photo: Hoa Hoi
