Up to now, about 60 universities nationwide have announced the application of high school transcripts for admission.

In 2024, the University of Public Health will enroll 785 students with 4 methods: Considering high school graduation exam results; considering academic records; considering the results of the Hanoi National University's capacity assessment exam; and direct admission.

The school considers admission based on high school academic results (transcripts) for the following majors: Public Health; Nutrition; Social Work; Rehabilitation Engineering; Data Science .

University of Transport maintains the method of considering high school transcripts for admission. This method is applied to most majors.

Candidates using an admission combination with English can use an IELTS certificate of 5.0 or higher (valid until the admission date) instead of the English transcript score and can be converted according to the school's regulations.

According to the announcement of Foreign Trade University, in 2024 the school plans to recruit 4,130 students for both the Hanoi headquarters and affiliated facilities.

Foreign Trade University said that this year the school will maintain the same regular university admission methods as in 2023 with 6 admission methods.

In particular, the school considers high school transcripts with 3 groups of candidates: participating/winning prizes in the national excellent student competition or in the national science and technology competition; winning prizes (first, second, third) in provincial/city excellent students in grade 11 or grade 12, and candidates in the specialized system of national key high schools/specialized high schools.

Besides some schools that do not recruit students based on academic records, this year many schools still maintain this method of recruitment. Therefore, candidates should not worry too much about reducing their chances of participating in university recruitment by many methods.

In fact, with the trend of diversifying admission methods, universities across the country have added many admission methods to improve training quality. However, overall, the admission method using academic records is still the method chosen by many schools.

However, candidates should also note that some schools require conditions in addition to considering transcripts.

For example, Hanoi National University of Education requires that the condition for admission based on high school transcripts for teacher training programs is that candidates have good conduct in all 6 semesters of high school and good academic performance in 3 years.

For the French language education major, if the candidate is a bilingual French student, the academic requirement is to have completed grade 12 with honors; for the technology education major, the academic requirement is to have completed grade 12 with honors.

Hanoi National University of Education notes that pedagogical majors do not recruit candidates with deformities, disabilities, speech impediments, or stuttering. Candidates applying for the National Defense and Security Education major must be in good health, with refractive errors of nearsightedness or farsightedness not exceeding 3dp; no congenital defects, or offensive tattoos. Men must be 1.60m or taller; women must be 1.55m or taller.
