Nam Dinh continues to buy more foreign players

On the morning of October 7, Nam Dinh announced the recruitment of two new players, Chadrac Akolo and Arnaud Lusamba, thereby increasing the total number of foreign players to 15 in the 2025/26 season.

"With the goal of players giving their all every time they step onto the field and having someone replace them when they are tired, Nam Dinh recruited the duo Chadrac Akolo and Arnaud Lusamba," the Southern team said about adding two new foreign players.

Chadrac Akolo, born in 1995, a Congolese national, has played in the Bundesliga for VfB Stuttgart, Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 with Amiens SC, or the Swiss Super League with FC St. Gallen. The 1.72 m tall striker can play both as a center forward and left winger, promising to add more options to the attack line that already has Brenner Marlos, Kristoffer Normann Hansen, Mamoud Eid, Percy Tau and Kyle Hudlin.

Meanwhile, Arnaud Lusamba, born in 1997, of French and Congolese nationality, is an experienced central midfielder. He has played for Nice, Amiens SC in Ligue 1, or Alanyaspor and Pendikspor in Türkiye. Lusamba's presence helps Nam Dinh increase competition in the midfield.

The Southern team affirmed that recruiting two more foreign players is part of the goal of competing fairly with strong opponents in the arenas they participate in. Especially when this team is competing in many arenas at the same time, from V.League, National Cup to Southeast Asian Club Cup and AFC Champions League Two.

According to Nam Dinh's confirmation, Akolo's contract is for 3 years, and Lusamba's is for 2 years. Because the list of foreign players in V.League and Southeast Asian Club Cup has been finalized, this duo may have to wait until the next stage.

In the AFC Champions League Two arena, clubs are allowed to replace up to 3 players with the deadline being October 31, this is likely the time when Nam Dinh will adjust their squad.
