Zalo received the Vietnam Digital Transformation Award 2025

With its positive and effective contributions to digital transformation activities in Vietnam, Zalo was honored in the category of "Digital transformation products and solutions for the community" at the Vietnam Digital Transformation Awards 2025 ceremony held on October 8 at the Military Radio and Television Center.

The Vietnam Digital Transformation Award 2025 has been held annually since 2018 by the Vietnam Digital Communications Association (VDCA) and VietTimes Electronic Magazine, sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology (formerly the Ministry of Information and Communications ). After 6 months of launching, the organizing committee has approached more than 15,000 agencies, organizations and businesses, receiving more than 400 nominations.

This year's awards were presented in 5 categories, including: Outstanding State agencies in digital transformation; Outstanding enterprises and public service units in digital transformation; Outstanding digital technology products, services and solutions; Digital transformation products and solutions for the community; Honoring individuals.

Zalo Official Account (Zalo OA) and Zalo Mini App solutions were honored.

Over the years, through the Zalo Official Account (Official Zalo Account of units, abbreviated as Zalo OA) and Zalo Mini App (Small utility application on Zalo), Zalo has gradually become a "digital bridge" between the government and the people, contributing to the modernization of administration and public services. Zalo OA and Zalo Mini App help promote the digital transformation process from central to local levels to take place effectively, quickly and conveniently.

As of September 2025, nationwide there were more than 16,521 Zalo OA accounts of state agencies and utility service groups with more than 41 million followers; including 14,733 Zalo accounts of state agencies at all levels, 1,788 Zalo OA accounts of utility service units such as education and health. In addition, the total number of Zalo Mini Apps of state agencies and utility service groups has also reached 967, serving millions of people nationwide.

The Zalo OA and Zalo Mini App account systems of state agencies and utility groups support digital transformation activities in many aspects. These are important, official propaganda channels, bringing information from state agencies to each citizen quickly and effectively, while opening a transparent feedback mechanism to listen to opinions and improve service quality. Zalo is a direct connection channel for people to easily send photos and videos when reporting, helping authorities handle quickly and effectively, ensuring security and order. In economic development, many localities take advantage of Zalo OA and Zalo Mini App to promote tourism, call for investment, support tourists to look up tourist attractions, restaurants, hotels and create conditions for businesses to access policies and procedures more conveniently.

In the medical field, Zalo plays an important role in the digitalization of the medical industry, supporting the implementation of electronic medical records nationwide. Many hospitals and clinics have applied Zalo to send medical examination and treatment results, reminding follow-up appointments automatically, via Zalo Mini App. Thanks to that, patients do not need to waste time queuing or waiting, while hospitals and clinics reduce the pressure of operating and managing paper records.

In the field of education, Zalo has become a familiar communication tool between schools, parents and students. Many educational institutions across the country have applied the form of announcing class schedules, scores, extracurricular activities to attendance management, all information is sent directly via Zalo, quickly and conveniently. As online learning becomes more and more popular, Zalo plays a role in maintaining the learning rhythm for millions of students, ensuring the right to study is not interrupted by natural disasters or epidemics.

As of September 2025, Zalo has accompanied 637 educational and medical units to develop Zalo Mini Apps, contributing to realizing the goal of "practical digital transformation" - ensuring that digital transformation is not only in policy, but must be present in every moment of daily life.

Zalo is gradually becoming a "digital bridge" between the government and the people.

The Vietnam Digital Transformation Award represents a great recognition of the contributions of Zalo in general and the Zalo Official Account and Zalo Mini App solutions in particular in national digital transformation activities. From the Covid-19 pandemic with the Zalo Connect feature helping people seek relief to storms and natural disasters with the Zalo SOS feature, Zalo has affirmed the role and power of technology in community-oriented activities, bringing practical values to people. When technology is placed at the center of the development strategy, platforms like Zalo will continue to play a pioneering role, accompanying the Government and the whole society on the journey of national digital transformation.
