Nam Lau actively prepares for the new school year

After merging and perfecting the apparatus, Nam Lau commune quickly stabilized its organization and focused resources on key tasks. Currently, Nam Lau commune has 8 schools, 147 classrooms, 231 teachers and 4,259 students. From July 1, 2025, when the new government comes into operation, the commune will focus on preparing personnel and facilities, issuing documents within its authority, appointing management leaders and clearly defining the functions and tasks of school units, ensuring smooth operations.

Along with that, the Commune People's Committee issued many specific plans for comprehensive education development, suitable to local characteristics. Notable among them are the plan to teach and learn Vietnamese for ethnic minority children before entering grade 1; the plan to foster political theory for management staff and teachers; the plan to popularize education and eliminate illiteracy. At this time, schools actively review, grasp the situation, arrange teachers and facilities, ensuring the best conditions for the new school year.

At Anh Sao Pung Tra Kindergarten, the renovation of the campus, facilities, and classroom decoration is being focused on by the school's staff and teachers. Ms. Quang Thi Loi, Principal of Anh Sao Pung Tra Kindergarten, Nam Lau Commune, said: Since the beginning of August, the school has cleaned the landscape, trimmed trees, repaired tables and chairs, decorated the classrooms, checked the electrical system, and ensured a safe environment for children before the new school year. Regarding enrollment, 100% of the target for the 24-36 month group has been achieved. Although there are still 2 teachers short of the quota and a lack of outdoor toys, the school is overcoming difficulties, mobilizing parents to make play equipment, creating a diverse and attractive playground for children when they come to school.

In the 2025-2026 school year, Chieng Bom Secondary School has a total of 13 classes and 546 students, including 179 boarding students. Mr. Quang Van Long, Acting Principal of the school, said: Less than a month to the new school year, teachers and students of the school are actively cleaning the classrooms and campus, planting more flowers and ornamental plants, and repainting the walls to create a fresh space. Up to this point, 100% of students have all the required textbooks. In particular, the school has installed televisions and internet connections to ensure stable signals, good image and sound quality to hold a "special" opening ceremony for the 2025-2026 school year.

Enthusiastically cleaning and sanitizing the new classroom with his friends, Lo Anh Quan, class 9C, Chieng Bom Secondary School, said: After the summer vacation, from August 15, we invited each other to come to school early, each class carried out assigned tasks, such as taking care of the flower beds, clearing the grass; trimming trees; cleaning tables, chairs, windows, classrooms, etc. Everyone was enthusiastic to make the school clean and spacious to welcome the new school year.

Mr. Cam Bun Loc, Chairman of Nam Lau Commune People's Committee, said: Schools are actively and urgently preparing facilities to welcome the new school year, the commune will supplement funds for urgent renovation and repair of degraded classrooms. At the same time, he directed schools to ensure transmission lines and equipment because this school year, the opening ceremony will be connected online to all educational institutions from preschools, primary schools, secondary schools, high schools, universities, colleges, and vocational education nationwide.
