On the evening of August 17, at Yen Tu Historical Relic and Landscape Complex, Quang Ninh province, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the Ceremony to announce the outstanding global value of the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac Relic and Landscape Complex.

At the ceremony, the Prime Minister emphasized that the recognition of this complex by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage is not only a source of pride for the three provinces and cities, but also a tribute to the unique values ​​of Truc Lam Buddhism in shaping the identity and spirit of the Vietnamese nation.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has put forward many important requirements and solutions to preserve and promote heritage values. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of completing the national and local legal framework to protect inter-provincial heritage. At the same time, the Prime Minister requested specific regulations on the roles and responsibilities of management agencies and communities in coordinating conservation.

The Prime Minister also requested the development of a comprehensive management plan with the participation of ministries, branches and localities, in which Quang Ninh province is the leading agency. This plan needs to fully identify risks, propose solutions to respond to risks and natural disasters and have an effective tourist management plan.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized: “Each citizen will be a 'cultural ambassador' in continuing to spread, propagate and promote the unique image of this important complex of relics and landscapes to international friends, especially on digital platforms, and affirm that the people are both the center and the subject in the process of heritage development.

The special art program “Thanh am Yen Tu - A thousand-year heritage” recreated the journey of King Tran Nhan Tong, who, after completing his mission as a wise king, chose Yen Tu as the place to become a monk, founding the Truc Lam Zen sect with the philosophy of “Living in the world and enjoying the Dharma”, spreading the values ​​of reconciliation, peace and harmony.

Mr. Pham Duc An, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province, representing all three localities, affirmed his commitment to upholding a high sense of responsibility, closely coordinating and synchronously managing heritage in accordance with the provisions of law and the Convention on the Protection of World Cultural and Natural Heritage. Localities will ensure the intact preservation of heritage values, while promoting creativity and harmony in the context of sustainable development.
