Hue: Timely transport of patients in flooded hospital to safety

At 9:00 p.m. on October 27, at Hue Central Hospital on the southern bank of the Perfume River, Thuan Hoa Ward, Hue City, many departments and rooms were deeply submerged in floodwater.

The Hue City Police mobilized dozens of officers and soldiers to the hospital to coordinate with doctors, medical staff, security guards, and patients' families throughout the night to move dozens of seriously ill patients, along with medical equipment, to higher floors to ensure patient safety during treatment.

At the northern end of the Trang Tien Bridge over the Perfume River, the Hue City Police Traffic Police, in coordination with the local government and the Hue City Military Command, evacuated nearly 40 patients and elderly people from the Rehabilitation Hospital and the deeply flooded areas of Phu Xuan ward to safe higher ground.

On the same day, the leaders of the Hue City Police directed the mobilization of 100% of forces and resources, proactively implementing plans to ensure the safety of people's lives, health, and property, absolutely preventing anyone from going hungry or cold.

In critical areas, units of the Hue City Police maintain strict duty rosters and are ready to respond to any situation, mobilizing 100% of their personnel. Local police forces are strengthening their presence in their areas, reviewing vulnerable points and deeply flooded areas, and promptly disseminating information and encouraging people to comply with safety recommendations and absolutely avoid moving through dangerous areas.
