Currently, the local authorities are mobilizing 30 militia members, 30 commune police officers, and the fire and rescue police force of Phu Tho province to organize search and rescue operations.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, due to the influence of a cold front, the Northern region has experienced rain, moderate rain, and locally heavy rain in some areas, with rain expected to continue in the coming days. Furthermore, due to the recent rainfall, soil moisture models indicate that some areas in the Northern region are nearing saturation (over 85%) or have reached saturation, posing a significant risk of landslides in the near future.

Landslides can have very serious impacts on the environment, threatening people's lives; causing localized traffic congestion, affecting the movement of vehicles; destroying public and economic infrastructure, causing damage to production and socio-economic activities.
The meteorological and hydrological agency advises people to regularly monitor forecast and warning information on the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting's website at nchmf.gov.vn, provincial and city meteorological and hydrological stations, and to regularly update the latest meteorological and hydrological forecast information on official central and local mass media to proactively respond.

According to the guidelines of the Department of Dike Management and Disaster Prevention ( Ministry of Agriculture and Environment ), in light of the above situation, affected areas should closely monitor landslide developments, promptly and fully inform all levels of government and the people so that they can proactively prevent, respond, and minimize damage.

Local authorities are deploying rapid response teams to inspect and survey residential areas along rivers and streams, and low-lying areas, in order to proactively organize the relocation and evacuation of people in areas at high risk of landslides; organizing forces to be ready to control and guide traffic, and erect warning signs, especially at underpasses, overflows, and areas with deep flooding and strong currents; and proactively arranging forces, materials, and equipment to address incidents and ensure smooth traffic flow on main transportation routes when heavy rains occur.
