From Long Thanh Airport, the Bien Hoa – Vung Tau Expressway, the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3, to industrial parks spanning thousands of hectares… all are preparing for the special moment of inauguration, groundbreaking, opening to traffic, and welcoming technical flights on December 19th as planned. This is not only a boost for Dong Nai to break through, but also connects the golden links of the transportation network, opening up new growth momentum for the entire Southern key economic region.
The premise for a new surge of momentum.
According to the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Party and the National Resistance Day on December 19th, along with the rest of the country, Dong Nai will simultaneously launch 9 projects, basically completing infrastructure projects in transportation, tourism , industrial park development, and housing.
Long Thanh International Airport (Long Thanh Airport) is being built on an area of 5,000 hectares, with a capacity of 100 million passengers and 5 million tons of cargo per year upon completion of all phases. This is the largest air transport project ever undertaken in our country, aiming to become one of the leading international air transit hubs.
The Bien Hoa – Vung Tau Expressway and the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 are two very important projects in connecting transportation in the Southern region, especially between Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai, the two largest economic hubs in the South.
Besides essentially completing national-level projects such as Long Thanh Airport, the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway, and the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3, the province has also launched many large-scale projects with a total investment of tens of trillions of VND, including: the Chua Chan Mountain ecological tourism, resort, and entertainment area (over 100 hectares), the Bau Can - Tan Hiep Industrial Park Phase 1 (1,000 hectares), the Xuan Que - Song Nhan Industrial Park Phase 1 (1,000 hectares); and the planned Cat Lai Bridge across the Dong Nai River connecting to Ho Chi Minh City with an investment of over 19,000 billion VND. These projects will serve as a foundation and create momentum for Dong Nai to make strong progress in the coming time.
Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung, Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Logistics Association, commented that these projects contribute to shortening travel time, acting as "golden links" in transportation connectivity, helping the province meet the conditions to become a new growth pole in the Southern region. At the same time, they promote logistics development, creating confidence and new opportunities for businesses to boost investment in production and business, contributing to stronger local development.
This is considered a historic moment, a milestone in the development process of Dong Nai as well as the whole country. This achievement is the culmination of the unity, joint efforts, and endeavors of the entire political system, the people, and relevant units. The commencement and basic completion of these projects are of particular importance, creating momentum and strength for Dong Nai to break through and contribute to the economic development of the region and the country.
Rush to catch up on the schedule.

According to the Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), in implementing the directives of the Prime Minister and central agencies, ACV has been working with contractors and negotiating with partners, focusing on solutions to accelerate the progress of Long Thanh Airport. To date, the project's contract packages have been completed 3-6 months ahead of the original schedule.
For several months now, at the Long Thanh airport construction site, more than 14,000 personnel and 3,000 pieces of machinery have been mobilized, working day and night. Currently, the contractor is focusing all resources on completing the runway, taxiways, and aircraft parking areas; installing equipment at the passenger terminal, ensuring the first test flight will be on December 19th.
To ensure the Biên Hòa – Vũng Tàu expressway and the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project are open for technical traffic on December 19th, contractors have increased manpower and machinery in recent months, working in "3 shifts, 4 teams".
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Tat Nam, Director of the Truong Son 15 Project Management Board (undertaking packages 18 and 9 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway), stated: During the construction of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway, the contractor encountered many difficulties and obstacles related to land clearance and material shortages. From mid-2025 onwards, these obstacles were basically resolved, and the contractor accelerated construction to catch up on the schedule.
At both construction sites, the consortium of contractors is mobilizing more than 900 personnel and machinery to work day and night. To date, many important tasks have been basically completed, and the contractor is focusing on laying crushed stone, asphalt paving, and bridge construction to ensure technical traffic opening on December 19th.
On December 19th, Dong Nai province will launch the Xuan Que - Song Nhan Industrial Park (phase 1) with over 1,000 hectares. Leaders of the Xuan Que Commune People's Committee stated that the people have high levels of support and expectation for the project, hoping it will create jobs, shift the economic structure, lay the groundwork for urbanization, and facilitate infrastructure development, especially transportation connectivity. As a predominantly agricultural commune with over 20,000 inhabitants, located only 5 km from Long Thanh Airport and with many major transportation routes planned to pass through it, Xuan Que has many advantages for breakthrough development. To date, the locality has approved compensation plans, reclaimed over 960 hectares of land, and is coordinating the preparation of resettlement for the people.
The successful commencement and completion of these projects are the result of unity and consensus. Specifically, the functional agencies of Dong Nai province focused on resolving obstacles, completing procedures, and accelerating land clearance; the investors and construction units made efforts in implementation; and the people wholeheartedly supported the projects. Once operational, this series of projects will create a strategic connection axis, upgrade infrastructure capacity, and open up new growth drivers for Dong Nai and the Southern region.
