
Meeting with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent his regards to Australian leaders and highly appreciated the achievements in governance, economic stability, social security and national development of the Labor Government in recent times.
The two Prime Ministers were pleased to review the positive and effective developments in bilateral relations; agreed to promote high-level visits and all-level visits through all channels and enhance coordination to make more positive and substantive contributions to peace , stability and cooperation in the region.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that there is still a lot of room for cooperation between the two countries, and suggested that both sides continue to effectively implement the Action Program to implement the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, periodically organize dialogue and consultation mechanisms, contributing to continuously increasing understanding and consolidating political trust; actively exchange measures to further increase two-way trade turnover, soon reaching the target of 20 billion USD, especially opening up and facilitating the export of goods from both sides to each country's market.

Appreciating Australia's Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that Australia's investment in Vietnam has seen remarkable growth, especially since Australia established an Investment Promotion Office in Ho Chi Minh City; and suggested that the two sides promote the effectiveness and further expand defense and security cooperation, especially cooperation in the fields of cyber security, digital transformation, and equipment support to enhance Vietnam's capacity.
Sharing Vietnam's vision and strategy on science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation, the Prime Minister hopes that the two sides will have a breakthrough in cooperation in this field, especially in human resource training and biomedical technology development...

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese affirmed that Australia always prioritizes relations with Vietnam, considering Vietnam a leading partner in Southeast Asia; emphasizing that upgrading relations to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership opens a new chapter in bilateral relations; committing that Australia will always prioritize ODA support for Vietnam, especially in areas of Vietnam's needs such as climate change adaptation, energy transition, digital transformation, circular economy...
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh suggested that Australia continue to make active contributions to promoting dialogue, cooperation and trust building through ASEAN-led mechanisms, on the basis of respecting ASEAN's central role and consulting with ASEAN, contributing to ensuring peace, stability and development in the region and the world; at the same time, continue to support ASEAN's efforts to promote narrowing the development gap and support sub-regional cooperation, including the Mekong sub-region.
* At the meeting with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sincerely thanked the former Soviet Union and present-day Russia for their great support and assistance to the Vietnamese people's cause of national construction and defense.

The Prime Minister expressed his delight at the regular contact between the two countries' leaders, affirming that Vietnam always attaches importance to and prioritizes the substantial development of the Vietnam-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership; and thanked the Russian Federation's leaders for supporting and sending the Prosecutor General to attend the signing ceremony of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime, which was hosted by Vietnam from October 25-26.
Emphasizing the traditional friendship and good feelings that the people of the two countries have for each other, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh asked the Russian Government to increase scholarships for Vietnamese students, especially in fields in great demand in Vietnam such as basic science and technology and civil nuclear energy.
The Prime Minister requested that the agencies and ministries of the two countries increase exchanges to find ways to remove obstacles and problems in the relationship between the two sides; Russia should further open its market for Vietnamese export goods, hoping that Russia and members of the Eurasian Economic Union will remove threshold protection measures against Vietnamese goods.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk expressed his delight at the two countries maintaining exchanges of delegations at all levels, conveying the Russian leader's thanks to General Secretary To Lam for attending and Vietnam for sending troops to the parade to attend the 80th anniversary of the victory over fascism in Moscow. Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk also warmly congratulated Vietnam on major celebrations in 2025 such as the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, national reunification and the 80th anniversary of National Day.

Discussing the direction of cooperation in the coming time, the two sides agreed to promote trade cooperation in the direction of ensuring balance, creating conditions for each other's goods to increase market access, especially agricultural products, food and foodstuffs; and strengthen connectivity between the two economies in terms of transportation and infrastructure, including promoting railway connectivity.
Regarding key strategic projects such as the construction of the Ninh Thuan 1 nuclear power plant, the two sides agreed to speed up exchanges and negotiations, and soon sign necessary agreements to start construction of the plant as planned. At the same time, the two sides also agreed to continue promoting people-to-people exchanges and tourism, and enhancing mutual understanding between the two countries.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh asked the Russian Government to create favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community in Russia to stabilize their lives, further develop and contribute to the relationship between the two countries.
