The NeXTstation was introduced by Steve Jobs after he left Apple in 1985. The machine uses the NeXTSTEP operating system - the original platform of today's macOS.
NeXTSTEP supports object-oriented programming with a modern graphical interface. Tim Berners-Lee used a NeXT computer to write the world's first website.
NeXTstation features powerful performance and an advanced software development toolkit. Apple acquired NeXT in 1997, brought Jobs back, and integrated NeXTSTEP into the Mac. Since then, iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, and tvOS have all been based on the NeXTstation “brain.”
Even though it sold only 50,000 units, the NeXTstation remains a great “forgotten pioneer.” Dear readers, please watch more videos : Funny advertisement about Apple Intelligence Writing Tools
