According to the latest information, Russian units have put pressure on Ukrainian forces in the southwest and northwest of Avdeevka and entered the city from the southeast.
Currently, the Russian military has increased its firepower on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the settlement of Stepovoye, located northeast of Avdeevka. In response, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have moved a mechanized formation to Stepovoye, consisting of Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, Leopard tanks and other armored vehicles.
According to other sources, the Ukrainian Armed Forces retreated from Stepovoye and attempted a counterattack. Damaged tanks and infantry fighting vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were seen on the streets of Stepovoye and to the east of the village. Some of the combat vehicles were destroyed in close combat with the Russian assault forces, others were destroyed by anti-tank guided missiles fired from Russian attack helicopters. It is worth noting that at least two US-made infantry fighting vehicles were shot down by Russian drones.
Prior to this, Ukraine launched a comprehensive attack on Russian infrastructure in the rear, especially on the Crimean Peninsula. Immediately after that, the Russian military launched major attacks on the Ukrainian military and other infrastructure serving the needs of the Ukrainian military.
On the night of November 14, Russian drone and missile attacks were reported in the Kirovograd, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions. Local sources reported that the Shebelinsky gas processing plant in the Kharkov region was heavily attacked. Also on the night of November 14, Russian Iskander missiles were reported to have hit targets in the Kherson region. As a result of the night attack, energy infrastructure in the Pokrovsky district under the control of the Ukrainian army in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic was destroyed.
However, despite heavy retaliatory strikes across the country, the Ukrainian army has not given up its efforts to attack Russian rear bases.
On November 13, Russian air defense forces shot down two Ukrainian missiles targeting port infrastructure in Mariupol. To save on expensive NATO missiles, the Ukrainian military is trying to attack Russian territory with cheap drones.
Four Ukrainian drones were destroyed over the Moscow, Tambov and Bryansk regions on the night of November 13. This was the second attempt by Ukrainian drones to approach the Russian capital in a week. Another Ukrainian drone was shot down in the Orel region.
However, Ukraine's efforts to strike deep into the Russian rear rarely yield results.
