Many of these products belong to national strategic technology groups such as new generation telecommunications networks, semiconductor chips, robots, cyber security and aerospace.
Viettel's "huge" array of technology products was introduced in the exhibition areas of the Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Construction and Hanoi People's Committee.
Especially in the outdoor area, in the exhibition space of the Ministry of National Defense , Viettel brought military technologies "Make in Vietnam, Made by Viettel" such as: Heavy ground self-propelled artillery, anti-aircraft artillery, air defense and maritime surveillance radar systems, long-range multi-purpose unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and anti-UAV complexes serving modern operations, secure communication systems, S-125-VT missile complex and Truong Son missile complex.
Heavy ground gun, 152mm caliber, is a mobile artillery capable of providing long-range fire support for infantry and armor.
The 57mm anti-aircraft gun is capable of protecting air defense positions, airports, ports, factories and important facilities from air attacks such as aircraft, helicopters, paratroopers, missiles and UAVs.
The systems integrate ballistic and fire control computers as well as electronic warfare systems.
Multi-purpose, long-range UAVs are strategic-level, performing reconnaissance missions, real-time target designation, electronic reconnaissance, information relay, and target attack thanks to their multi-load carrying capabilities.
With the characteristics of continuous operation for a long time and large operating distance, this UAV line stands out in its ability to perform missions on many types of terrain from mainland, border to sea areas, islands and under complex meteorological conditions.
The tactical reconnaissance and jamming system for unmanned aerial vehicles is a modern combat weapon, researched and manufactured by Vietnamese engineers, capable of reconnaissance, detection, identification, orientation, and jamming unmanned aerial vehicles to protect key areas.
The S-125-VT missile complex, researched and improved by Viettel , is capable of destroying airborne attack vehicles. The Truong Son missile complex is one of the modern weapons developed by Viettel. This is a shore-based missile complex that can fire anti-ship cruise missiles.
Sharing about the strategy for science and technology development, Lieutenant General Tao Duc Thang - Chairman and General Director of Viettel Group said that Viettel has focused on implementing strategic research programs, participating in the development of 9 out of 11 national strategic technologies.
“This orientation is closely linked to the implementation of Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation. Viettel will take on new and difficult tasks and be determined to create results to be worthy of the trust of the Party, State and Army, with the great vision and expectations set forth from the historic Resolutions,” Lieutenant General Tao Duc Thang emphasized.
In addition to modern weapons and equipment, Viettel also introduced digital technology products including 5G base stations and 5G chips, smart cities, smart factories, information security platforms, urban digitalization and virtual assistants.
This series of products demonstrates Viettel's pioneering role in creating a digital society, providing infrastructure for digital transformation with 5G connectivity and applications and solutions in all aspects of life.
New generation telecommunications networks, semiconductor chips, robots, and network security are also among the nine national strategic technologies that Viettel participates in researching and developing.
Appearing at the exhibition, Viettel affirmed its capacity to research and produce high-tech defense industry, mastering core technology, some of which are close to and equivalent to advanced technology in the world, especially in the field of strategic weapons research.
