On the morning of October 20, at Yang Bay Tourist Park, Khanh Viet Corporation (Khatoco) organized “ Food Festival – Delicious dishes from ostrich meat”; this is an activity organized by Khatoco to celebrate Vietnamese Women’s Day (October 20).
There were 15 teams with 60 non-professional chefs from Khatoco's units and other units participating. Within 90 minutes, each team of 4 members prepared 3 dishes with the main ingredients being Khatoco ostrich meat including: fillet, thigh, stomach, wings, neck, heart, and ostrich toes.
The festival not only creates an attractive playground for teams to create new and nutritious dishes, but is also an opportunity for visitors to discover unique flavors from the nutritious source of Khatoco ostrich meat.
According to Mr. Vo Dinh Nghi - Director of Khatoco Ostrich - Crocodile Trading Company, Khatoco ostrich meat is widely known for its high quality, outstanding nutritional value and safety in production. Khatoco has the largest ostrich farm system in Vietnam with a total herd of more than 12,000 ostriches, supplying the market with about 8,000 breeding ostriches, 300 tons of meat and thousands of skins for the leather industry each year. Khatoco ostrich meat products are produced in a closed process from breeding - raising - processing - consuming products. All stages are strictly controlled, ensuring food hygiene and safety according to ISO 22000:2018 standards. By organizing "Food Festival - Delicious dishes from ostrich meat", Khatoco hopes to bring to tourists and consumers a unique culinary space from the main ingredient of Khatoco ostrich meat, a nutritious food that is increasingly popular.
Coming to the “Food Festival – Delicious dishes from ostrich meat”, in addition to rich culinary experiences, visitors also experience the wild and peaceful natural beauty at Yang Bay Tourist Park. Visitors can relax in natural hot mineral pools, enjoy the majestic Yang Bay waterfall or participate in fun folk games and freely check-in at Yang Bay.
At the end of the festival, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to the team from Khatoco Packaging Printing Joint Stock Company, and the second prize to the team from Khatoco Khanh Hoa Tobacco Factory. In addition, the Organizing Committee awarded 2 third prizes, 3 consolation prizes and 2 secondary prizes including the best presentation prize and the best decorated dish prize to the teams with high achievements.
