Hon Village Festival

The 2023 Lu ethnic cultural festival was inaugurated in Ban Tham, Ban Hon commune, Tam Duong district, Lai Chau province (now Khun Ha commune, Lai Chau province).

Author Yen Anh Khong submitted the work "Happy Vietnam 2025" to the "Happy Vietnam 2025" competition. Location of creation: Rung Chung Village, Lap Thach Commune, Phu Tho Province; Khun Ha Commune, Lai Chau Province , Vietnam.

Introduction: The 2023 Lu Ethnic Culture Festival was inaugurated in Tham Village, Ban Hon Commune, Tam Duong District, Lai Chau Province (now Khun Ha Commune, Lai Chau Province). The festival featured a variety of activities such as: stick pushing competition; tug-of-war competition; bamboo weaving competition; stream fishing competition; culinary competition; sticky rice cooking and decorating; folk art performances; Lu ethnic costume show; Xoe dance... This annual cultural event recreates the ancient cultural space of the Lu people. It aims to honor, introduce, and promote the beautiful traditional cultural values ​​of the Lu ethnic group in particular and the ethnic groups of Lai Chau Province in general. Along with its natural potential, Tam Duong District has been and is creating leverage for tourism development and attracting visitors from all over.
