'Ho Chi Minh City Noodle Festival' postponed due to storms

The organizing committee of the first "Vietnamese Rice Noodle Festival - Delicious Dishes from Vermicelli" in 2025 (originally scheduled to take place from October 16 to 19 at 23.9 Park, Ho Chi Minh City) has just issued an urgent notice to postpone the event, due to the impact of adverse weather conditions and prolonged storms.

According to the announcement of the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association, the new time set for the festival is from November 20 to 23, 2025, still at September 23 Park (Ben Thanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City). The Organizing Committee commits to maintaining the scale, content and quality of the announced activities, while ensuring full rights of sponsors, participating units, as well as media promotion rights according to the signed contract.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Khanh, Head of the Organizing Committee, said that the decision to postpone the event was made because the partners and participating units from the North and Central regions were directly affected by storms and rain, while Ho Chi Minh City, an outdoor venue, was also affected by bad weather, so it was necessary to adjust the schedule to ensure safety and convenience for all participating units, visitors and sponsors.

"The organizers hope that the Vietnamese Rice Festival will not only be a meaningful culinary and cultural event, but also a safe and friendly destination, contributing to honoring the value of traditional Vietnamese agricultural products," Ms. Khanh emphasized.

Although the rescheduling may affect some media and sponsorship plans, the organizers still receive high consensus from partners. The announcement also apologizes and hopes to receive sympathy and continued support from sponsors, participating units, media and media partners such as press agencies, content creators... to make the event a complete success next November.
