To ensure the synchronized and effective implementation of free annual health check-ups or screenings for people throughout the province, starting in 2026, the Nghe An Provincial Health Department has identified this as a key, ongoing, and long-term task, linked to programs and plans for socio-economic development, ensuring social security, and improving the lives of the people.

According to the plan, the 2026 health check-up and screening campaign for people in Nghe An province will launch simultaneously on May 16th, aiming to cover 100% of communes and wards in the province. This includes establishing 20 key screening points at the grassroots level with support from doctors, nurses, and equipment from the provincial level.

The campaign prioritizes six target groups: children, the elderly, people who have rendered meritorious service to the revolution, self-employed workers, and people who have not visited a medical facility for examination in the past three years.

To ensure the campaign is truly effective, the Director of the Nghe An Department of Health, Le Thi Hoai Chung, requested that medical facilities adequately prepare personnel and equipment; organize examinations scientifically, safely, and with quality, avoiding formality; and assign competent and responsible medical staff to participate in the campaign, with a dedicated, approachable attitude, providing thorough guidance, and creating maximum convenience for people when they come for examinations.

In addition, the application of information technology should be promoted; examination results must be updated fully, accurately, and promptly on the system in accordance with regulations so that people can monitor their health on the VNeID application.
