* On April 3rd, the Government issued Resolution No. 39/NQ-CP, unanimously approving the proposal to draft a National Assembly Resolution on piloting some specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Nghe An province.
The draft Resolution stipulates the pilot implementation of additional specific mechanisms and policies for Nghe An province in the fields of state financial and budget management; urban planning, resource and environmental management; investment management; marine economic development; organizational structure and staffing.
Accordingly, Nghe An province proposed 5 groups of areas with a total of 22 policies; including: State financial and budget management (7 policies); urban planning, resource and environmental management (6 policies); investment management (4 policies); marine economic development (2 policies); organizational structure and staffing (3 policies).
Among the proposed policies, 12 are similar to those already enacted by the National Assembly in other provinces and cities, and 10 are new policies proposed by the province.
* The Quynh Lap LNG Thermal Power Project is one of 14 LNG-based thermal power projects included in the list of important power source projects prioritized for investment by the electricity sector until 2030, aiming to bring the total national LNG thermal power capacity to 22,400 MW.
This is one of the provisions in Decision 262/QD-TTg dated April 1, 2024, of the Prime Minister approving the Plan for implementing the National Power Development Plan for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 (Power Plan VIII), which was recently signed and issued by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha on behalf of the Prime Minister.
According to the Implementation Plan for Power Development Plan VIII, the Quynh Lap LNG-fired thermal power plant project, with a capacity of 1,500MW, is being implemented in Nghe An province, with an expected operational year of 2029-2030. However, the Plan also specifies that the exact scale of the power plants in the above list will be determined specifically, in accordance with the capacity range of the generating units during the project implementation phase.
* On the morning of April 3rd, during their visit and working trip to Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, the Nghe An provincial delegation, led by Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu, visited St. Anne's Winery, a vineyard and wine production facility.
St Anne's Winery, a family-owned vineyard with a long history, is now operated organically, without the use of pesticides.
The St Anne's Winery brand, produced by the farm, has won numerous prestigious awards worldwide. The Nghe An provincial delegation held discussions and working sessions with Australian partners, expressing a desire for cooperation and sharing experiences in the field of agriculture, particularly in the deep processing of agricultural products.
* Nghe An establishes inter-agency team to inspect the implementation of the one-stop mechanism and administrative procedures in the electronic environment.
The People's Committee of Nghe An province has just issued a plan to inspect the implementation of administrative procedure control, the one-stop shop mechanism, the integrated one-stop shop mechanism, and the implementation of administrative procedures in the electronic environment in Nghe An province in 2024.
Through inspections, promptly detect and rectify shortcomings and limitations in the control of administrative procedures, the implementation of the one-stop shop and integrated one-stop shop mechanisms, and the implementation of administrative procedures in the electronic environment; prevent and strictly handle cases of self-imposed administrative procedures, types of documents and papers outside the regulations of the law, delays in resolving administrative procedures, and causing harassment and inconvenience to organizations and individuals in receiving and resolving administrative procedures.
The People's Committee of Nghe An province has just issued Directive No. 08/CT-UBND on strengthening measures for forest fire prevention and control in Nghe An province in 2024.
To proactively prevent and effectively implement forest fire prevention and control measures, aiming to minimize the number of fires and the area of forest burned in 2024, the Provincial People's Committee requests provincial departments, agencies, the People's Committees of districts, cities, and towns, and forest owners to implement synchronized solutions to prevent forest fires from occurring.
