"We are so happy that so many family and friends can share in our joy on this special day," Mrs. Wong, 56, said on Instagram on March 17. The Australian Foreign Minister posted a photo of herself and her partner Allouache wearing wedding attire and holding a bouquet of flowers.
The Sydney Morning Herald reported that Ms. Wong and Ms. Allouache had been together for nearly two decades and their wedding took place at a winery in Adelaide, the capital of South Australia, on March 16. Ms. Wong is a legislator representing South Australia in the Senate.

According to the AAP news agency, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and senior cabinet ministers attended the wedding. The couple's two daughters – Alexandra, 11, and Hannah, 8 – were tasked with scattering flowers during the ceremony.
Having served as a Labor Party senator since 2002, Ms. Wong is the first person of Asian descent to hold a position in the Australian cabinet.
Australia legalized same-sex marriage in 2017. This marked a turning point for a country where, until 1997, homosexuality had not been decriminalized in all states.
On Valentine's Day recently (February 14th), the 61-year-old Prime Minister of Albanese also temporarily suspended his duties to propose to his girlfriend, Jodie Haydon.
Mr. Albanese announced the engagement on February 15th with a selfie of him and Ms. Haydon, accompanied by the caption "She said yes" on social media. In the photo, Ms. Haydon is wearing the engagement ring that her fiancé helped design, according to Reuters.
Cabinet ministers then took to social media to congratulate the Australian prime minister. Foreign Minister Wong, who had known Mr. Albanese for decades, wrote that "love is a beautiful thing" in a social media post.
