The new school carries many aspirations

Edison High School is bustling with activity ahead of its first school year.

After the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province issued Decision No. 1928/QD-UBND, establishing Edison High School on August 15, 2023, the school actively invested in building two and three-story school buildings, installing equipment for smart classrooms such as interactive boards, digital devices, standard student desks and chairs, air conditioners, and cold water purifiers to serve students; functional rooms such as English classrooms, music classrooms, and libraries were also invested in with great care and quality.

The school places special importance on selecting a team of leaders, educational managers and teachers. Edison High School Principal Nguyen Thanh Ha was formerly the Principal of Luong Ngoc Quyen High School, Vice Principal of Thai Nguyen Specialized High School, who contributed to building the school into one of the most prestigious schools in Thai Nguyen province. Two Vice Principals were teachers at specialized schools teaching literature and math. Three members of the school's Board of Directors have trained and taught many excellent national students.

The school's teaching staff graduated with honors and distinction from pedagogical universities, are good teachers, have many years of experience, of which 30% of teachers come from Thai Nguyen High School for the Gifted, Thai Nguyen University of Education with academic titles of professor, associate professor, and doctorate.

With modern, synchronous facilities and equipment; a team of highly qualified and dedicated staff and teachers, Edison High School sets out the core educational philosophy: "Personality - Intelligence - Skills - Autonomy - Integration", thus attracting great attention and expectations from the public and parents in the area.

In the first school year 2025-2026, the school will enroll more than 150 10th grade students, including more than 70 students who applied to study at the school without taking the 10th grade entrance exam for public schools organized by the province, and 50 students who achieved excellent student results in the province (at the beginning of the new school year, the school will award scholarships to these students).

The special feature of this school is that students will be tested to assess their input capacity in order to have appropriate training and teaching solutions to supplement missing knowledge, and at the same time nurture excellent students from the beginning.

In addition to the regular morning teaching according to the program and regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, every week the school spends 4 sessions to review knowledge of the combined subjects that students have chosen to serve the graduation exam, university entrance exam and orientation, knowledge support for IELTS certificate exam.

According to Principal Nguyen Thanh Ha, Edison High School aims to be the most suitable school for students, where they are respected, welcomed, understood, allowed to be themselves and inspired every day.

"During their studies at school, students will correctly assess their own abilities and receive early career advice so that when they graduate, they can make the right choice, develop their abilities and strengths to become decent, useful people," said teacher Nguyen Thanh Ha.
