After two years of intensive preparation of facilities, especially the selection of qualified and dedicated staff and teachers, Edison High School (Thai Nguyen), named after the great inventor, will open its first school year in 2025-2026 with confidence, aspirations, and high expectations from parents and society.

Edison High School is buzzing with excitement ahead of its first new school year.

Following the issuance of Decision No. 1928/QD-UBND by the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province on August 15, 2023, establishing Edison High School, the school has actively invested in constructing two- and three-story school buildings, installing smart classroom equipment such as interactive whiteboards, digital devices, standard student desks and chairs, air conditioners, and cold water dispensers to serve students; functional rooms such as English classrooms, music classrooms, and the library have also been thoughtfully invested in to provide modern and high-quality facilities.

The school places special emphasis on selecting its leadership, management, and teaching staff. The Principal of Edison High School, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ha, was formerly the Principal of Luong Ngoc Quyen High School and the Vice Principal of Thai Nguyen Specialized High School, contributing to the development of these schools into some of the most prestigious in Thai Nguyen province. The two Vice Principals were former teachers at specialized schools, teaching literature and mathematics. Three members of the school's Board of Directors have mentored, trained, and taught many national-level outstanding students.

The school's teaching staff consists of excellent and outstanding graduates from teacher training universities, highly skilled teachers with many years of experience, including 30% of teachers from Thai Nguyen Specialized High School and Thai Nguyen University of Education who hold professorships, associate professorships, and doctorates.

With its modern and comprehensive facilities and equipment, and a team of highly qualified and dedicated teachers, Edison High School has established a core educational philosophy: "Character - Intelligence - Skills - Autonomy - Integration," thus attracting significant attention and high expectations from the public and parents in the area.

In the first academic year 2025-2026, the school will enroll over 150 students in grade 10, including more than 70 students who applied to the school without taking the provincial-organized entrance exam for public high schools, and 50 students who achieved excellent student status at the provincial level (the school will award scholarships to these students at the start of the new academic year).

What makes this school special is that students undergo an entrance assessment to determine appropriate teaching and training solutions, addressing knowledge gaps and nurturing talented students from the outset.

In addition to the regular morning classes as prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training, the school dedicates four sessions per week to reviewing the knowledge of the subjects students have chosen, in order to prepare them for the high school graduation exam, university entrance exam, and to provide guidance and support for the IELTS certification exam.

According to Principal Nguyen Thanh Ha, Edison High School aims to be the most suitable school for students, where they are respected, welcomed, understood, allowed to be themselves, and inspired every day.

"During their studies at the school, students will accurately assess their own abilities, receive early career guidance so that upon graduation they can make the right choices, develop their skills and strengths, and become decent and useful members of society," shared teacher Nguyen Thanh Ha.

Entrusting his child to the school, Mr. Hoang Van Hung from Hoang Van Thu ward (Thai Nguyen) expressed his hope: "Although it's a new school, with modern facilities and qualified, dedicated, responsible, and energetic teachers, we believe that our children will receive the education and training they expect."
