(Dan Tri) - For more than a month, pilots of the Air Defense - Air Force Service have practiced non-stop, overcoming many rainy days and bad weather to complete the mission of flying to celebrate the morning of the 80th National Day, September 2.

Over the past month, the Vietnam People's Air Force has been actively training at Kep airport, Hoa Lac airport and Gia Lam airport to carry out the mission of flying to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.

At the same time, at Hoa Lac airport, 4 C-295 and C-212 aircraft also actively trained for 1 month to prepare for the "national festival" on September 2.

The formations of 4 L-39NG aircraft, 2 SU-30MK2 fighter aircraft and 5 SU-30MK2 fighter aircraft passed through the simulated stands below Kep airport on August 18.

After a week of continuous difficulties due to bad weather conditions and prolonged rain, on August 28, a squadron of 10 helicopters took off from Hoa Lac airport to practice flying the Party and national flags across Ba Dinh Square.

Also on August 28, squadrons of SU-30MK2, Yak-130, and L-39NG fighter jets also conducted practice flights over the square.

The sudden maneuvers, acceleration, and changes of direction create great pressure and the back of the SU-30MK2's wings are covered with a white cloud-like coat.

At 8:30 a.m. on September 2, in the sky above Ba Dinh Square, the SU-30MK2 fighter jet with registration number 8591 flew over and dropped 48 flares, brilliantly celebrating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day, September 2.

The aircraft squadron completed the mission and returned to base.

"King Cobra" SU-30MK2 landed on the runway of Kep airport.
