Stop receiving cosmetic declaration dossiers of VB Group Trading and Service Company Limited

On May 28, the Drug Administration of Vietnam (Ministry of Health) issued a decision to temporarily suspend the review and acceptance of cosmetic product declaration dossiers for a period of 6 months for VB Group Trading and Service Company Limited, headquartered at Dai Thanh Binh Building (911-917 Nguyen Trai, Ward 14, District 5, HCMC).

VB Group Company is headed by Mr. Nguyen Quoc Vu - singer Doan Di Bang's husband - as General Director. This is a distributor of Hanayuki brand cosmetics, produced by EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company (on Road No. 6, Giang Dien Industrial Park, Giang Dien Commune, Trang Bom District, Dong Nai Province).

Hanayuki Sunscreen Body sunscreen product is suspected to be counterfeit

Previously, the Drug Administration of Vietnam suspended the circulation and requested the recall and destruction of a number of cosmetic products produced by EBC Dong Nai Company due to quality violations, including products suspected of being counterfeit.

The case is currently being investigated by Dong Nai Provincial Police after the Dong Nai Department of Health transferred the file.

According to Mr. Ta Manh Hung, Deputy Director of the Department of Drug Administration, the decision to stop accepting VB Group's application was made after the inspection results of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health. Specifically, the original product label of the enterprise did not match the ingredients declared in the application. Of the 8 product samples tested, 3 samples violated quality: 2 samples contained undeclared 2-Phenoxyethanol in the ingredients; 1 sample did not meet microbiological standards; 1 sunscreen sample had an actual SPF index significantly lower than the label stated.
