Kinhtedothi - The organizing committee for the Hung Kings Commemoration Day - Hung Temple Festival and the Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week in the Year of the Dragon 2024 has issued regulations and notes for everyone visiting the Ancestral Land.
Accordingly, in order to prepare and organize the Hung Kings Commemoration Ceremony on March 10th, Year of the Dragon, in a solemn and dignified manner according to national protocol, the Organizing Committee requests that people and those without official duties refrain from going to Nghia Linh mountain area from 10 PM on March 9th to 9 AM on March 10th, Year of the Dragon (i.e., from 10 PM on April 17th to 9 AM on April 18th). Visitors from all over the country come to offer incense and pay respects to the Hung Kings. On the other hand, the Organizing Committee requests that the people preserve the traditional customs and values of the nation, wear formal, polite, and modest clothing; walk softly, speak quietly; and remove their hats before entering temples and pagodas. They should practice religious rituals according to traditional customs and under the guidance of the temple caretaker, monks, and staff of the historical site, and refrain from propagating or practicing superstition. The duration of ceremonies should not exceed 20 minutes at each temple or pagoda. Prohibited acts include: encroaching upon historical relics, the Hung Temple National Forest, cultural facilities and institutions, and the environmental landscape in the Hung Temple area; exploiting religion, beliefs, and freedom of speech to oppose the Party and the State; causing disunity and undermining the national cultural traditions; engaging in superstitious activities; gambling and organizing gambling in any form; causing public disorder, using vulgar language, swearing, and insulting spirituality; and other activities contrary to the law that affect the Hung Temple historical relics, festival activities, and the people attending the festival. The Organizing Committee also reminds people to be vigilant, pay attention to and detect criminals taking advantage of crowds to commit robbery, pickpocketing, etc. When buying food and drinks, souvenirs, using services such as mat laying, electric car services, or taking commemorative photos, carefully check the price list and agree on the price before purchasing goods or using services to avoid being overcharged.
