The people of Thanh Xuan district are in strong agreement with the policy of reorganizing administrative units.

With a sense of urgency and timeliness, by the morning of April 20th, 203 out of 291 residential areas in Thanh Xuan district had completed the distribution of questionnaires to gather residents' opinions on the plan for rearranging ward-level administrative units, achieving a rate of 92.7%.

Of the ballots collected, 55.5% have been tallied; 14.6% of the polling stations have completed the vote counting. Overall, the people have expressed strong agreement and consensus on the plan to reorganize the grassroots administrative units. Accordingly, Thanh Xuan district will have three wards: Thanh Xuan, Khuong Dinh, and Phuong Liet.

Specifically, the Thanh Xuan administrative unit has a natural area of ​​3.31 km2 and a population of 99,491 people; its administrative boundaries encompass most of the natural area and population of the following wards: Thanh Xuan Trung, Thuong Dinh, Nhan Chinh, Thanh Xuan Bac (Thanh Xuan); and a portion of the natural area and population of the following wards: Trung Van (Nam Tu Liem); Trung Hoa (Cau Giay).

The administrative boundaries are as follows: to the East, it borders the Dong Da and Khuong Dinh administrative units (the boundary follows Nguyen Trai Street - To Lich River); to the West, it borders the Dai Mo administrative unit (the boundary follows Luong The Vinh Street - To Huu Street - Khuat Duy Tien Street); to the South, it borders the Khuong Dinh and Tan Trieu administrative units (the boundary follows Nguyen Trai Street); to the North, it borders the Yen Hoa administrative unit (the boundary runs from Hoang Ngan Street - Hoang Minh Giam Street - Le Van Luong Street).

The Khương Đình administrative unit has a natural area of ​​3.12 km2 and a population of 93,780 people. Its administrative boundaries include most of the natural area and population of the following wards: Khương Đình, Hạ Đình, Khương Trung (Thanh Xuân); and a portion of the natural area and population of the following wards: Thượng Đình, Thanh Xuân Trung (Thanh Xuân); Đại Kim (Hoàng Mai); and Tân Triều commune (Thanh Trì).

The administrative boundaries are as follows: to the East, it borders the Phuong Liet and Dinh Cong administrative units (the boundary follows the planned road network and the current ward boundaries); to the West, it borders the Tan Trieu and Thanh Xuan administrative units (the boundary follows Nguyen Trai and Nguyen Xien roads); to the South, it borders the Tan Trieu and Dinh Cong administrative units (the boundary follows Nguyen Xien road); to the North, it borders the Dong Da and Kim Lien administrative units (the boundary follows Nguyen Trai, Truong Chinh, and Vuong Thua Vu roads).

The Phuong Liet administrative unit has a natural area of ​​3.24 km2; a population of 97,387 people; administrative boundaries: The entire area and population of Khuong Mai ward (Thanh Xuan); most of the natural area and population of Phuong Liet ward (Thanh Xuan); a part of the natural area and population of the following wards: Khuong Trung, Khuong Dinh (Thanh Xuan); Thinh Liet, Giap Bat, Dinh Cong (Hoang Mai).

The administrative boundaries are as follows: to the East, it borders the Tuong Mai administrative unit (boundary follows Giai Phong road); to the West, it borders the Khuong Dinh administrative unit (boundary follows the planned road along Dam Hong lake - Vuong Thua Vu road); to the South, it borders the Dinh Cong administrative unit (boundary follows Ring Road 2.5); to the North, it borders the Kim Lien administrative unit (boundary follows Truong Chinh road).

According to Vo Dang Dung, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the Thanh Xuan District People's Committee, the district has provided full and timely information and propaganda to the people regarding the necessity of rearranging and reorganizing administrative units at all levels and building a two-tiered local government model. This has created a high level of consensus and unity among the Party committee, the government, and the local people.

After gathering public opinions, the People's Committees of the wards will compile and report the results to the District People's Committee for submission to the District People's Council for approval of the plan to rearrange and reorganize the ward administrative units, no later than April 26, 2025.
