People of Vinh Binh commune believe in a future of comprehensive development.

(ABO) On the morning of June 30, together with the whole country in a solemn and hopeful atmosphere, at the former Go Cong Tay District Party Committee Hall (now the headquarters of Vinh Binh commune after the merger, the new Dong Thap province), the Party Committee, the government and a large number of people of Vinh Binh commune attended the Ceremony to announce the Resolution and Decision of the Central and local governments on merging provincial and commune-level administrative units, ending the operation of district-level administrative units, establishing Party organizations, appointing Party committees, People's Councils, People's Committees, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of provinces, communes and wards, connected online from the Provincial Conference Center bridge.

The ceremony is not only a simple administrative event, but also a historical milestone, opening a new promising chapter for Vinh Binh in particular and Dong Thap province in general. The conference took place in a solemn atmosphere, the cadres, civil servants and people in the commune were all moved by the moment of change in the government apparatus and believed that with the change in management of the 2-level government system, our country will enter a new journey with the expectation of a future of comprehensive and strong development.

Sharing with us right after the ceremony ended, Mr. Phan Thanh Hien, a retired cadre residing in Vinh Binh commune, emotionally said: As a party member and retired cadre, I realize that streamlining the apparatus and arranging administrative units is not only a requirement in terms of administrative organization, but also a strong change in leadership and management thinking.

But in the past few days, through the media, I and the people were still wondering and worrying about the merger of provinces and communes, not knowing what would happen. But today, attending and listening to the Central leaders, the leaders of Dong Thap province (new) as well as the leaders of the communes (new) speak and make promises, I understand.

What I am particularly interested in is that the leaders have shown determination that, immediately after today's announcement ceremony, the newly established localities will not wait, will not waste time, but will immediately take action, with specific, practical tasks.

After the announcement ceremony, administrative units will urgently develop, review and re-issue working regulations of Party committees, authorities and mass organizations in accordance with the new apparatus; focus on reforming administrative procedures, ensuring that people can work without interruption. Therefore, I have great confidence that the new government apparatus will create breakthroughs in the development of the province in the coming time.

Ms. Vo Thi Thoai Huyen, a resident of Vinh Binh commune, also shared that in recent days, I have participated in propaganda work and polled people's satisfaction with the merger of provinces, the abolition of district level and the merger of communes. In general, most people support this policy and believe that streamlining the administrative apparatus can help speed up paperwork, making it more convenient for people, and officials can also be closer to the people.

Whatever the Party and the State do is for the people. The merger is to become stronger, to concentrate resources for development. Although there is a slight change in habits, I believe in the leadership of the Party, believe that the lives of the people of Vinh Binh will become more prosperous and happier under the roof of Dong Thap (new).
