(To Quoc) - Nguyen Ky Anh has chosen a slow and deliberate approach to appreciate and preserve the beauty of national heritage through his emotionally charged "Each photograph tells a story," touching the hearts of millions of viewers.

For Ky Anh, each photograph is a dialogue with herself and with the world around her. She wants to preserve beautiful things that are easily forgotten in the passage of time, so that when someone suddenly remembers old memories, they might have the opportunity to look back at them. With this in mind, Ky Anh has dedicated most of her time to documenting moments of the vibrant life of heritage – seemingly small but profoundly meaningful when viewed in retrospect.
Born and raised amidst the rapid changes of urbanization, Ky Anh has always sought out cultural aspects, customs, and moments in time from forgotten or overlooked heritage. His works often focus on rustic simplicity and natural beauty, allowing viewers to both admire and feel the soul of each region, its people, and the beauty of Vietnamese culture.

Driven by that passion, this young man from Dong Thap province, born in the 1990s, set aside his attractive job as a creative director to dedicate a year to traveling to over 30 provinces and cities across Vietnam, capturing beautiful photographs of culture and heritage. Through each work, Ky Anh strives to convey the message of preserving timeless beauty and honoring the unique cultural values of each region. For him, every land holds a long history, a deep socio-cultural heritage, and the beauty of its architecture and people.
Each project is a journey of discovery and recreation of the very real, very Vietnamese beauty that Ky Anh wants to convey to everyone. No matter how much time passes, the photos retain their value, reviving old emotions and leading viewers back to a poignant past.
Kỳ Anh's most profound impact lies in his photo series on cultural and culinary heritage, such as: "Golden Season - A Season of Leisure," "Hue - A Golden Dynasty," "Can Tho - White Rice and Clear Water," "Spinning Brown Chò Trees," "They Say Ca Mau is So Far Away," etc., which have touched the hearts of many. Each image carries a deep meaning, spreading empathy, reminding people to appreciate and encouraging the community to strive towards the quintessential values that constitute the "soul" of the nation.

For Ky Anh, photography is a way to better understand herself and the values she wants to preserve. To capture the gentle moments of life. To preserve emotions, memories, and familiar values so that even when she travels far, grows up, or gets old, she can still look back. To preserve the stories of places and people so she can appreciate the days she is living even more. And most importantly, to continue spreading beautiful emotions to many people, so that beauty becomes even more beautiful.
Therefore, photography is not simply about creating a beautiful frame, but about the power of connection. Each image opens up profound feelings about life, helping viewers understand and appreciate what they have more. Ky Anh always strives to touch the deepest emotions in the viewer's heart, so that the story he tells through his images can make them pause, contemplate, and feel more connected to everyday life. What's special is that he always knows how to listen, share, and empathize with the stories of the subjects in his photos. This compassion breathes life into each picture, making them vibrant and relatable.
"To capture the most authentic moments, you need to sit down, talk, and listen to the stories behind them; so that the photos breathe, so that the heartbeats of the people in them are captured." - Young photographer Nguyen Ky Anh
