Nguyen Phong Hong Duy soon leaves the Vietnam national team

The Vietnamese team began gathering on June 5 and before the first training session on the afternoon of June 6, the players underwent a health check. Through the examination, Hong Duy is still injured and needs at least 2 weeks of rest to recover.

Previously, in the 0-1 loss to Hanoi FC at Hang Day Stadium in round 11 of V-League 2023 on June 5, Hong Duy was injured. Because the team had a short training session to compete in FIFA Days, coach Philippe Troussier decided to send Hong Duy back to the club to continue treatment and did not call up any other players.

On the first day of training, the Vietnamese team's coaching staff spent a lot of time helping the players recover their physical condition and regain their excitement after going through fierce rounds in the domestic arena.

Hong Duy lost the chance to wear the national team jersey due to an unfortunate injury.

Due to the schedule of round 11 of V-League 2023, in the first training session, the French strategist only had 25 players called up to the list of the two teams this time. The remaining group of players will be present at the military base after June 7.

According to the plan, Coach Troussier will combine the Vietnamese national team and the U23 national team to practice together and then separate the groups and select the squad for a friendly match with the Hong Kong team (China) on June 15 at Lach Tray Stadium ( Hai Phong ).

The group of players who will not be able to compete in this international friendly match will continue to practice and compete with the Hanoi Police Club (June 14) at the PVF Center and meet the Hai Phong Club (June 17) at Lach Tray.

Finally, the coaching staff will evaluate the professional ability of each player and then select the Vietnamese team to play a friendly match with the Syrian team on June 20 at Thien Truong Stadium ( Nam Dinh ).
