The writer from Muong Man passed away at the age of 79.

According to information from his family, writer Muong Man passed away on the afternoon of January 28th at his home, at the age of 79.

The writer Muong Man, whose real name is Tran Van Quang, was born in 1947 in Chuon village (An Truyen village), Phu Vang district, Thua Thien - Hue province (now Hue City). He spent his adulthood in Can Tho , but from 1995 to the present, he moved to Ho Chi Minh City, working at Phuong Nam Cultural Company until his retirement at the end of 2007.

Mường Mán began his literary career at the age of 17 with the 70-line poem " Through Several Flower Lanes ," before transitioning to prose. Many of his short stories were published in the collection "Empty Cup of Love" (Youth Publishing House, 2003). In addition, Mường Mán also tried his hand at screenwriting, with works such as "The Insider" (1987), "The Story of the Seven Crossroads " (also known as "The Sound of the Zither ," 1997), " Wind Through the Dark and Bright Regions " (co-written, 30 episodes, 1995), "Moon Without a Season" (1998), and "Destiny" (16 episodes, 2003)...

Throughout his writing career, he produced approximately 30 works, including poetry, short stories, novels, and film scripts. In particular, many readers still remember Muong Man's works about his youth, such as: *Leaves of Longing* , *A Little Fragrant Rain *, * Autumn with Tangled Hair* , * Golden Chrysanthemum Afternoon* , * Cry Again, Early Morning* , * Moon Without Seasons *, *Salt of a Hundred Years *...

Information about the funeral of writer Muong Man

Besides literature, writer Muong Man also left his mark in the field of painting. In 2007, upon retiring, he made a decision that surprised many: he put down his pen to take up painting. In over 10 years of painting, he has created approximately 100 paintings. In 2019, he held a solo exhibition titled "Enchanting Moon Week" in Ho Chi Minh City.

The coffin of writer Muong Man is laid in state at 78/21/14 Nguyen Van Khoi Street, Thong Tay Hoi Ward, Ho Chi Minh City. The embalming ceremony will take place at 6:00 AM on January 29th (corresponding to the 11th day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Snake), and the funeral procession will begin at 6:00 AM on January 31st (corresponding to the 13th day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Snake). Afterwards, his remains will be cremated at Binh Hung Hoa Cemetery (Ho Chi Minh City).
