80 years ago, on August 24, 1945, the Dinh Cong Trang Squadron - the first main force of the Thanh Hoa Armed Forces was born. This is considered a major historical and political event, marking the development of the Thanh Hoa revolutionary armed forces. After its birth, under the leadership of the Party, directly by the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee and the Party Committee - Military Region 4 Command; the nurturing and protection of the People, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Armed Forces overcame countless challenges, together with the entire people in a long-term resistance war, establishing brilliant feats of arms, entering the golden pages of national history.

During the renovation process, Thanh Hoa Military always maintained its political stance, overcame all difficulties, and successfully fulfilled its tasks and functions as a "fighting army, a working army, and a production labor army".

In any circumstance, Uncle Ho's soldiers are always present in time in difficult and arduous places, standing shoulder to shoulder to help the people in responding to and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and epidemics; supporting the people in economic development, hunger eradication and poverty reduction; bringing culture and healthcare to villages, especially in remote areas, ethnic minority areas, border areas, and islands; actively participating in the movement to repay gratitude...

People will always remember the image of hundreds of officers and soldiers of Regiment 762 (Thanh Hoa Military Command) wading through floodwaters to help people in Cam Luong and Cam Phong communes overcome the consequences of natural disasters and quickly stabilize people's lives. That is the image of thousands of officers and soldiers of the Thanh Hoa Border Guard simultaneously joining forces to help people in Muong Lat, Quan Son, Quan Hoa, and Lang Chanh districts that suffered from severe floods and landslides in mid-September 2024, causing many villages and hundreds of households to be isolated and separated. Among them, many families are at risk of flash floods, landslides, and rockslides that threaten the safety of their lives and property. That is the image of officers and soldiers of the People's Armed Forces helping people harvest rice and flee floods...

During the days when the whole province and the whole country are struggling to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, with the spirit of "fighting the pandemic like fighting the enemy", officers and soldiers of Thanh Hoa Armed Forces always stand side by side with all levels, sectors, localities in the province and the whole people to strive to overcome difficulties and challenges, determined to defeat the pandemic, protect the health and lives of the people, contributing to spreading the noble image and good qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in peacetime.

Not only taking the lead in preventing and fighting natural disasters and epidemics, Thanh Hoa's armed forces also enthusiastically participate in emulation movements and campaigns launched by the Central, the province, all levels, sectors and localities. A typical example is the emulation movement "Thanh Hoa's armed forces join hands to build new rural areas". In the period of 2020-2025, officers and soldiers of the provincial armed forces mobilized nearly 10,000 working days, over 6 billion VND, thousands of tons of cement, sand and stone to upgrade 70km of inter-village and inter-hamlet roads, build cultural houses in villages and hamlets; dig and clear nearly 2,000km of intra-field canals; participate in supporting communes, villages and hamlets to meet new rural standards; support the construction of hundreds of "Great Unity Houses", "Comrade Houses", "Houses of Gratitude", "Houses of 100 Dong" for soldiers, families with preferential policies, and the poor with special housing difficulties with a total amount of nearly 30 billion VND. Participate in contributing to the construction of funds "For the poor", "Repaying gratitude", "Natural disaster prevention", "Spring on the border - Tet on the islands" program... with a total amount of over 12 billion VND, contributing to strengthening the great national unity bloc, solidarity between the army and the people, building a solid "People's heart position"...

Colonel Pham Van Sam, Political Commissar of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Military Command, said: The specific, practical and effective actions and deeds of the officers and soldiers in the past time are a great source of strength for the provincial armed forces to continue to uphold the spirit of patriotism, love for the regime, promote revolutionary heroism and the spirit of revolutionary offensive, overcome difficulties and challenges, establish many new achievements, become a voluntary and widespread revolutionary action movement throughout the entire army, thereby promoting and spreading the cultural values of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers".

Reality has shown that in any circumstances, the cadres and soldiers of the provincial armed forces, despite facing many dangers, still move forward, accepting sacrifices to make the people's lives peaceful, prosperous and happy. These noble acts have been recognized and highly appreciated by the Party Committee, the government and all classes of people in the province, contributing to multiplying the bright image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers".
